Jordan completed his Professional Semester Three in my Grade 1 classroom at Dorothy Dalgliesh School in Picture Butte, AB. He was an intern at our school from January 9", 2017 to April 11", 2017. He was responsible for teaching Grade 1 Math, Science, Social studies and Art, He also taught a ‘combined Grade 1/2 Physical Education class of 35 students as well. For all classes that he taught, Jordan was responsible for providing daily lesson plans cnd unit plans. His planning proved to be exemplary. He related well with his students and planned activities that engaged them. He utilized various teaching strategies and technologies throughout his time at our school. He ako utilzed various assessment strategies in order to determine his students level of achievement in the various subjects that he taught. He was also responsible for being involved in our studented conferences that occurred in our second reporting period. Jordan maintained good classroom management in his class. He utilized routines and behavior management strategies that worked for himself and his students. It was amazing to see a male teacher enthusiastic about teaching Division | students. Itis not a usual occurrence. Jordan also took it upen himself fo run a lunch hour club focused on an introduction to learning the Spanish language. He took on recess and noon-hour supervision duties throughout his time ‘at DDS as well. Jordan volunteered to help assist with our schoo's mini-baskettall program. During this fime, he had the opportunity to interact with students from other grade levels as well He worked hard at interacting with all of the students from our school on a daily basis. Overall, Jordan Logan would be an excellent addition to any staff.
