Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

Time: 15 min

What I’ll do first is, greeting them and asking them about how they feel and how’s their day. After that
I will engage them by showing them a doll house. I will hide it first and I will ask them what they think

this is, I’m going to listen to their answers. Then, I’m going to show them and we will discuss together
about the home and the part of the room.

Independent Experience

Students will have different shapes such as, Square, triangle and rectangle. They have to design a home
using these shapes.

Students in this activity will solve the puzzle to know the word and the picture. For example, there will
be (bedroom) Picture and under it the word but it will be like a puzzle. So, they have to solve it to know

After the activities, I will do a group activity for them. What I will do is give them pictures and I will

To assess their knowledge, I’m going to assess them while they’re doing the activities, I will do a checklist to check
their understanding of the lesson.

Today I taught English lesson in Al Sharjah International School to my Kg2 D students. In

this lesson, I focused on Identifying bedroom parts such as bed, blanket, shelf, pillow, rug
and wardrobe and I focused on repeat the keywords with them to make sure that they
understood. The lesson goes well, students were active and involved with me. At the
beginning of the lesson students were engaged with me when I hide the house, they felt
excited when I asked them to touch it and to guess what this is, by doing this, students will
develop their cognitive skills while they’re thinking and guessing.

I achieved my goal which is preparing differentiation activities for them that is suitable for
their abilities. I prepared for the students different activities and because my students are
sitting in groups that are mixed abilities, I decided to give them the LA activity first then MA
and in the end the HA activity. Teaching them the lesson and explaining for them the
activities wasn’t hard because they responded with me and they were answering my
questions, also they are smart because before I explain the activities they already know what
to do.

While they’re doing the activities I was moving around them to check if they are doing well
or not. But there is one thing that I will improve and I will not do next time which is, stop
them while they do the activity to move to another activity. What I should do is let them
finish it and if the finished I have to give them the next activity immediately because as I said
before, they already know how to do the activities
