Grade Level: KG2-A Subject: English – letter H Learning Outcome (ADEC code and words):
1. Students will be able to read and write letter /h/.
Resources (what materials/equipment will you and Preparation (what do you need to make or check before
the students use? Be specific) class?)
- Ask one student to wear a hat and stand in front of all the students, then ask the students
what is he wearing? And I will point to his hair and his hands, what is this? Then I will ask
the students to guess the new letter we are going to learn, by repeating the three words (hat,
hand, hair) and focusing on the first letter.
- Inform the students that h is the first letter in hat, hand and hair.
- Show the students the letter on the smartboard and pronounce the sound of the letter ‘huh’
with the students.
- Show the students pictures on the smartboard of a hat, hippopotamus, heart, hand, horse,
helicopter, hair, hen and house.
- Write the letter h on the whiteboard, and then ask some students to come up and write the
letter on the board.
- Play letter H song on the smartboard.
Students will colour the letter h pictures. Then students will find and circle the letter h.
Students will colour the happy face and then will glue the small letters (h) on the smiley mouth.
Students will cut out two rectangles by using the scissor and then will glue the hippopotamus face between
the two rectangles. And draw eyes.

- Look around you in the class where do you see the letter h?
Call the students together as a group.
Ask the students to recall the letter that was learned today.

Ask the students to raise the green light stick if they understood the lesson and if not raise the red light stick.
