Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

First, we will sing together Alphabet sounds; then I will read a Kangaroo, Kangaroo, What’s in
your Pouch?. The students will try to guess what is in a kangaroo's pouch, and all the words or
items start with k-sound such as, key, kitten, king, koala, kite and kangaroo. But none of these
things it’s a baby kangaroo. Then I will show them pictures of all the items with the words in
PowerPoint, and I will ask them to give me some words that start with k sound. Lastly, before
they do the activities, I will play a video (Learn The Letter K), from this video they will be able

The students will write a letter k in different and fun way. They will have a real big kite
and marker to write a letter k on it.

Letter formation sand tray
This activity is the favourite for fine motor, sensory, and pre-writing practice. Each student
has a sand tray, and letter k to practice to write the letter k in the sand.

This activity will help students discover how the kiwi can make a unique and
interesting print, and in the same time they will know that the kiwi start with k sound
