ARTICLE 43. The Campus Director, Appointment and Term.

Each Campus shall have a


Executive Director and he/she shall render full-time service for a term of two years without
prejudice for an extension of another term. He/she shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees
upon recommendation of the search committee and the College President, subject to the
guidelines, qualifications and/or standards set by the Board.

The Executive Director shall be evaluated and rated by the appropriate Vice Presidents in
relation to the College’s function on instruction, research, extension, and production. Such
performance evaluation shall be forwarded to the College President for approval.

ARTICLE 44. The Executive Director shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the campus and
shall exercise general supervision over all academic, administrative, and research and extension
operations thereof.

ARTICLE 45. The Executive Director shall have the following functions:
On Policy Powers:
45.1. Formulate and recommend policies and programs to be implemented in the satellite
campus subject to the approval of the Academic and Administrative Councils;
45.2. Implement the policies adopted by the Board and memoranda/guidelines issued by the
College President;
On Academic Powers:
45.3. Decide on appealed academic cases;
45.4. Decide on late registration with or without fine;
45.5. Decide on the request for authority to teach in another institution;
45.6. Decide on the request of exceptions to rules on class size;
45.7. Decide on cross enrolment in another educational institution;
45.8. Waive on student’s maximum residence rule;
45.9. Sign certificates awarded to participants of training or special courses and the like;
45.10. Issue designation of students as official delegates, observers or participants to local, and
recommend to regional and international conferences, seminars, etc. and authorization of their
official expenses chargeable to appropriate allocation of the College, subject to COA auditing
rules and regulations;
45.11. Act on appeal of the Dean’s decision on applications for substitution of courses;
45.12. Suspend classes on the occasion of typhoons/storms, earthquakes, floods, fires, and
other natural and/or man-caused calamities;
45.13. Act on request for extension of period to submit grades; College Code 17
On Administrative and Fiscal Matters:
45.14. Recommend awards of fellowships, scholarships and assistantships to students, faculty
and other personnel;
45.15. Decide on requests for permission to accept training grants, fellowships, scholarships,
assistantships, or invitations to conferences sponsored by outside agencies or organizations;
45.16. Designation of an officer-in-charge of the satellite campus without any allowance or any
form of additional compensation and for a period not exceeding one (1) month, provided that
each designation issued shall be reported to the College President immediately;
45.17. Approve meeting requests by any office, organizations, units or colleges in the campus.
Provided, however, that meetings shall be conducted in a period where there shall be the least
disturbance of classes and office work.
45.18. Designation of the following:
45.18.1. Chairperson of each department upon recommendation of the Dean provided that each
designation issued shall be immediately reported to the College President;
45.18.2. Program or project directors or coordinators;
