REED CITY — Grand-

parents and other family
members of GT Norman
Elementary students re-
ceived a special show Fri-
day afternoon when their
grandchildren sang songs,
told jokes and shared sto-
ries.
GT Norman Elementary
hosted their annual Grand-
parents Day Concert on
May 4 in the East Gymna-
sium where children got
on stage and performed a
series of classic and grand-
parent-themed songs.
The first-graders’ songs
included renditions of
“You Are My Sunshine”
and “Skidamarink.”
Between performances,
students recited jokes and
shared stories about what
makes their grandparents
special.
When the concert con-
cluded, the students got to
bring their grandparents
into their classrooms to
show them where the
school day is spent.
