REFLECTION
Four perspectives of organizational effectiveness are when the organizations have a
good fit with their external environment, when their internal subsystems are configured for a
high performance workplace, when they are learning organizations, and when they satisfy the
needs of key stakeholders. In my opinion, I think people are the important elements which
contribute to the effectiveness of an organization in the organizational learning perspective and
the configuration of internal subsystems for a high performance. First of all knowledge is the
most valuable core which organizational effectiveness depends on and people can only acquire
knowledge. Besides, only people know how to store and use their knowledge efficiently and
valuably. People are flexible in learning knowledge. Even though they store a huge amount of
knowledge, they still learn and select effective knowledge which is helpful and valuable for their
organization effectiveness. People can observe or do experiment to find a better way for their
organization. They know how to apply the good knowledge to make their organization successful
and adjust their situation better. People actively have an important role to create and spread the
effectiveness to their organization. Secondly, people are important for the configuration of
internal subsystems for a high performance in organization. Subsystems are those small parts of
a large system. It is can understand the part of transformation process which collects and uses
input to transfer product to output. High performance is the effective output which proves that
the process is successful and people can do well in their performance. People are
the only one factor that organization can’t keep consistently. People’s performance is
not always the same and effectively, but changing day by day. Keeping the consistent high
performance in organization is not easy. Because people are also dealing the transformation
process from input into output, they understand clearly the importance of these connections
which compose to organizational effectiveness. People are the determined group which builds
upthe organizational effectiveness. However, their roles in last two perspectives are not as much
effective as the ones I discussed above. External environment and stakeholders can’t be satisfied
easily by people, “important asset.” People can only affect them or lead them to the way which is
good for the organization. Moreover, they are the external element which people can’t control

I have realized that taking the Personal traits test is very important. Since knowing
oneself first will help us improve ourselves. The Personality Traits Test attempts to establish
your personality profile based on the tendencies that guide your behavior and relationships with
others. If we fail to answer it honestly, then it would only mean that we are fooling others and
most especially ourselves. How you see yourself and how others see you may be quite different.
A personality trait test is a test that was designed to tell us what type of a person we are, and
often tells us what the advantages and disadvantages of our personality is. It aims to describe the
aspects of a person's character that remain stable throughout that person's lifetime, the
individual's character pattern of behavior, thoughts, and feelings. Understanding personality is
also the key to unlocking elusive human qualities. Understanding personality of yourself and
others is central to motivation. Different people have different strengths and needs. The more
you understand about personality, the better able you are to judge what motivates people and
yourself. The more you understand about your own personality and that of other people, the
better able you are to realize how others perceive you, and how they react to your own
personality and style. The idea of taking the Personality traits test is to expose fixed and
conditioned ways of thinking, feeling and behaving. This does not indicate that any particular
way is right or better than another. Personality tests can be hugely beneficial in improving
knowledge of self and other people. It helps us pinpoint and eliminate our weak points. It could
also help improve our motivations, strength, preferred thinking and working styles, and also
strengths and preferred styles for communications, learning, management, being managed, and
team-working. I chose the option which I think was right or what would make me happy. Rabbit
is a tame and tender animal, and swift in move. People born in the Year of the Rabbit usually
have soft and tender personality traits and I do believe that because I keep modest attitude and
maintain a pleasant relationship to people around me. Im not irritated easily. I do believe my
personality features do change according to the situation.
Detailed Character Analysis of Rabbits
In Chinese myths and legends, rabbit is a symbol of longevity and an elf of the moon. Therefore,
people born in the year of Rabbit are one of the luckiest in Chinese Zodiac. If the quiet Rabbit
people could choose their own life path, they will certainly choose the comfortable and leisurely
lifestyle because they believe the plain life is the greatest happiness.

You can identify the Rabbit people simply from their appearance and dressing up because they
love the loose, comfortable and high-quality clothes and hate the flashy geometric or dazzling
design. Also, they like the coordinated and balanced state.

With an inborn love for the plain and comfortable life, Rabbit people do not have the lofty ideal
like people under other animal signs and their primary goal in life is self-protection. They are
contented to the easy and comfortable life and generally have no ambition of making great
achievements as they are unwilling to be busy running about fame and wealth; they'd rather stand
aloof from worldly success than live a luxury life.

Rabbits are gentle and quiet and they always behave dignifiedly and orderly and will never make
waves. When there is a disagreement or dispute, they generally will not go head to head. They
stubbornly believe that it is easy to be friendly towards each other and they always try to be
polite, even towards an enemy. Unlike the Dragon, Dog, Tiger and Rooster people who love the
fierce fight, they hate quarrel and any form of openly hostility and build up a fortune from this
character. They have no interest in fight, thus not suitable for fighters charging forward but
working behind scenes effectively.

In the nature, the weak species like rabbit has a very strong sense of security and you can rarely
find it at the dangerous place. Therefore, you don't need to worry about Rabbit people's life at all
because they are agile, smart, and good at escaping from harm and thinking for themselves, thus
hardly be fooled and can restrain their hobby to keep secrets or personal privacy.

Rabbit is a symbol of kindness, elegant manner, good advice, affability and love of beauty.
People born in the year of Rabbit like the peaceful, quiet and comfortable environment and they
are highly reserved, love art and have a strong judgment. Their gentle words, charitable and
timid lifestyle reflect all the ideological qualities of a successful diplomat. Rabbit people start
well and end well, and like the plain life, making them outstanding scholars. Also, they are
suitable for political and government work due to their gentle and kind image.

Rabbits understand life very well and they make others believe they will not do wrong, say
harshly or solve problems with rude words. Sometimes, they are seemingly unhurried or overly
cautious, which is decided by their nature of watching out and preferring to plain life.

Rabbit people are skilled in saving face for both sides. Where there is a dispute, they will be
tolerant to others and find a way to make others unembarrassed.

REFLECTION
Almost all organizational behaviour theories have the implicit or explicit objective of making
organizations more effective . Indeed, organizational effectiveness is considered the ‘ultimate dependent
variable’ in organizational behaviour. The first challenge, however, is to define organizational
effectiveness - A broad concept represented by several perspectives, including the organization's fit with
the external environment, internal subsystems configuration for high performance, emphasis on
organizational learning and ability to satisfy the needs of key stakeholders.. Experts agree that this topic is
burdened with too many labels organizational performance, success, goodness, health, competitiveness,
excellence and so on with no consensus on the meaning of each label.

Long ago, organizational effectiveness was defined as the extent to which an organization achieved its
stated goals. According to this view, Wesfarmers is effective because it achieves its stated objectives,
such as achieving specific weekly sales targets at Coles or coal production output at Curragh Queensland
Mining. The goal-attainment view is no longer accepted, however, because a company can be considered
effective simply by establishing easily achievable goals. Also, some goals such as social responsibility to
the community are so abstract that it is difficult to know how well the organization has achieved them. A
third flaw with the goal-attainment definition is that a company's stated objectives might threaten its long-
term survival. For example, some corporate leaders receive incentives (such as stock options) to
maximize short-term profits. Some accomplish this objective by slashing expenditures, including funds
for marketing and product development. The result is often a lack of new products and deterioration in the
company's brand value in the long run. In extreme cases, the company achieves its short-term profitability
targets but eventually goes out of business.

How is organizational effectiveness defined today? The answer is that there are several perspectives of
effectiveness, so this concept is defined by all of these perspectives together. Organizations are
considered effective when they have a good fit with their external environment, when their internal
subsystems are efficient and effective (i.e. high-performance work practices), when they are learning
organizations and when they satisfy the needs of key stakeholders. Over the next few pages, we will
discuss each of these four perspectives of organizational effectiveness in some detail.

YEAR OF THE TIGER
The Tiger is a natural charmer, gifted with an irresistible magnetism. Courageous,
often reckless, the Tiger never runs away from adversity. Prone to depression when he
feels limited by a job that doesn't suit him, the Tiger actually doesn't foresee any position
for himself apart from being a leader.

Moreover, it's quite common to associate jobs compatible with the Tiger with all job titles
containing the word "leader", "director" or "manager". Other Chinese zodiac signs should
show some understanding for the proud and beautiful Tiger, as he can never really feel
fully alive in the absence of the satisfaction derived from the domination of his
entourage.

Always at ease in the presence of others, the Tiger is a very good speaker, knowing
perfectly how to convey his emotions through the soft tones of his voice and his
charismatic body moves. His restless and rebellious spirit doesn't stop him in grabbing
the right opportunities whenever he sniffs them. Constantly looking for intense emotions,
the Tiger also tends to act primarly by passion. Finally, the Tiger has an inexhaustible
reserve of love for those he's chosen to be part of his inner circle, while his enemies
shouldn't sleep too deep if they want to keep safe.
