Hold a pre-job meeting with all parties invoved in lifting operation including supply boat personnel PIC
Ensure barriers are in place and the travel path and lay down area is clear of obstruction PIC / Banksman
Carry out pre-use inspection of the lifting equipment Riggers
Carry out pre-start checks on the crane as per approved check list Crane operator
Banksman/PIC is to contact the master of vessel and supply boat crew for readiness prior to lift the load
Check the manifest for the correct weight of the load PIC / Banksman
Attach the slings to the load and ensure the load is secured(If required) Riggers
Hook the slings on to the Pennant line hook Riggers
Banksman to give signal to the crane operator once the sling is hooked. Banksman
Crane operator picks up the load and follow banksman signal to hoist & slew the load to laydown area Crane operator
Place the load slowly on the laydown area Crane operator
Remove the slings and shackles if necessary. Riggers
Ensure the area is safe and finish the lifting operation. All Personnel
