In Math, we are currently in Unit 7-Recognizing At- tributes and Fractions of Shapes. I have received feedback from parents that the Interactive Student Addition G2 (which can be found in your child’s “Library”) on gomath AKA ThinkCentral has really helped them to assist their child with our new math standards. Please visit this resource for Unit 7 (Chapters 11 & 3 in gomath) and go through Chap- ters 11 and 3 along with your child to support them in their math growth.

This is crunch time for Young Authors completion. I will be sending home periodic updates on what your child is missing that they can make up at home. The book is not mandatory so if you and your child choose to not participate then that is acceptable.

I want thank everyone for all the wonderful treats that were sent to me for Teacher’s Appreciation week. While all the treats are delightful, my FA- VORITE part of this week is the powerful message that you convey to your child. That message is that education is important and not to be taken for grant- ed, that you are in a partnership with your child’s teacher and that we are working together to build strong minds and kind souls for the future of our world. When your child receives this message, they come to school excited to learn and spend many hap- py days at school. This has been a wonderful year and I have you all to thank for that.

Reminders *Spelling words for the week can be found at spellingcity.com *Please review the lunch menu with your child. *SPILLPROOF water bottles! *Snack should be sent in everyday
