I have to say, I really like this piece. It has several things to recommend it. First of all, as a
work of art, it seems very accessible. What I mean is it's not too intellectual or difficult to
understand, like a lot of modern art pieces. So in that way, I think everyone - children and
adults - should be able to relate to it. Also, the fact that it's in the shape of an open book will
give it popular appeal. It reflects the long tradition of our city as a place of learning very well.
It's a clever touch, I think.

Thirdly, and I don't think we should underestimate this, it's just good fun. The quotes and
jokes that appear on the pages will attract a lot of attention. People will be able to sit on
benches and watch as the different messages roll across the screen. So it becomes an
interactive work of art, and I think this is important, given its central location in the city. And
the idea that it could become a tourist destination also really appeals to me

Well, that more or less sums up my position. What does everyone else think?
