Title: Salvation
Scripture:
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who
believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16

Observation:
● God showed us how much he loves us by sending his one and only Son Jesus to walk
on earth as a living sacrifice and showed how much he cared for us
● Would you sacrifice someone you love for people’s sins?
● God sent Jesus to spread his Good news to everyone
● Good News that God is with us and that he is a God of love
● Jesus died on the cross for our sins so when we come to him we are forgiven
● Through Jesus we are saved and will live in eternal life
What is eternal life? Living in pure happiness forever and ever
○ Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be
no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All things are gone forever
● In verse 19 it says, “God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more
than the light, for their actions were evil”
● God wants us to repent of all our sins and receive salvation
● He wants us to walk in the path of righteousness and turn away from evil because he is
not happy with people who do things that don’t please him
● How can we receive Salvation?
○ Acts 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with
everyone in your household.”
Application:
● I will always share what God has done on the cross for us. It is an unforgettable sacrifice
that none will compare. I will put all my trust in Him for he has died for my sins and I am
forgiven.
Prayer:
Father I gave you thanks that you have given your one and only Son as a sacrifice for our
sins. Thank You for loving and caring for us!

Title: Purpose
Scripture:
● “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I
appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” - Jeremiah 1:15
● “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not
disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” - Jeremiah 29:11
● “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus
our Lord.” - Romans 6:23
● “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I
sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when
I travel and when I rest at home. You know know everything I do. You know what I am
going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your
hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me
to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your
presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there: if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I
ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will
guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and
the light around me to become night but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you
the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you. You made all
the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank
you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous how well I
know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven
together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life
was recorded in your book. - Psalm 139:1-16

Observation:
● The word “You” repeats throughout the verse
● God has created us in his own image so that makes us a piece of art because
everything he made was good and beautiful
● God made us to worship him and spread his Good News
● God is saying that he has a purpose in our lives that will fill us with joy
● When we come to God for forgiveness and start a new life with him he will lead us to
good paths
● He wants us to have a life of hope and joy
● His plan can’t be fulfilled when we don’t believe in him
● We might say why did this bad thing happen to me or why am I going through this
situation?
● Well that’s because we don’t follow the path that God wants us to follow and we aren’t
fulfilling his plan that he has for us.
● God knows everything about us! We can’t hide from him!
● He is everywhere even though we can’t see him he still watches us.
Application:
I will allow God’s purpose to be fulfilled in my life by seeking him wholeheartedly and
acknowledging him in everything I do. Proverbs 3:6 says in all thy ways acknowledge
him and he will direct thy paths.

Background on Jeremiah:
● Jeremiah was called to be a prophet at a very young age.
● God prohibited Jeremiah from getting married and having kids because marriage wasn’t
for him at that time
● God told Jeremiah to share to everyone to repent of their sins and surrender but many
people didn’t listen to him.
● The people he spoke looked down on him because he was young and told him he didn’t
know anything because he was only 22 years old
● Jeremiah would break down in tears because nobody would listen to the message God
has given him

Prayer:
Lord your word says that you have set me apart before I was born and that you have plan
for me. Allow your purpose in my life be fulfilled and accomplished. Amen!

4/16/18
Scripture:
● “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with
wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between
Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? And what
union can there be between God’s temple and idols? - 2 Corinthians 6:12-16
● “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your
household.” -Acts 16:31

Observation:
● Wickedness was brought into the world by Satan
● He was created by God and was made beautiful
● He then started to be prideful and wanted to be more powerful than God
● He turned angels against God by lying to them and telling them that he was going to be
more powerful and that God never said the truth
● Then God saw this and casted him down to land along with the angels that he turned
against God
● He took one third of the angels
● Satan governs the world, bad thinking, lying, converts good things into bad
● If no one receives salvation, people can be governed by Satan. Can influence bad
thinking and bad desires and everything that brings darkness
● He is a specialists in lying
● Satan governs the world because he was sent down, he still here but no one can see
him
● You either choose path of righteousness or wickedness
● Good and evil can never mix
● People who receive salvation, God will put his hand on them so the desires of the devil
won’t come true
Application
I will allow this to change my life by walking in the path of righteousness and obey the
commandments God has given us!
5/4/18
Scripture:
“So now I am giving a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you
should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my
disciples.” - John 13: 34-35
“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of
sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.” Luke 4: 8-9
“But to you who are willing to listen, I say love your enemies! Do good to those who hate
you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. [...] Do to others as you
would like them to do to you.” Luke 6: 27-31
Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then
your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the
Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be
compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.” 6: 35-36
“Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.
Observation
● Commandments means a gracious provision of God’s law or covenant, obeyed as an act
of love and devotion
● Love means a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person
● God wants us to love one another because he loves seeing everyone in unity and in
harmony
● Not only say we love with words but show it with actions
● Deny ourselves and help those are in need
● Don’t celebrate when someone falls or stumble, but be there to help them out
● Love is of God
● The devil doesn’t want us to be in unity and in harmony so he’ll do anything he cant to
cause division between people
● Pray for those who hurt us and God will take control over them
● God is happy when we love each other and be there for one another
● He will help us be at peace with our enemies.
Application
I will follow this command by being kind and generous to others when they treat me different or
even if they don’t treat me different. I will not judge based on their appearance but what I will do
is always treat them the way I would like to be treated and show them the love of Christ.

5/8/18
Scripture:
● “Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.” -Psalm 27:10
● “This is my command-be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For
the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
● “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though
they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” -Psalm 37:23-24
● “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who
search for you.” -Psalm 9:10
● “But you, O’Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with
unfailing love and faithfulness.” -Psalm 86:15
● “For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he
delights.”-Psalm 3:12

Observation
● If my father and mother aren’t in my life or are missing, the Lord will always be there for
me and look out for me. For he has made me in his own image.
● There’s no such thing as orphans because we have a Father that looks over us
● At times we may feel alone if we lost someone special in our life who helped us through
obstacles but we shouldn’t feel that way because God is with us wherever we go in our
lives and he’ll never take away his eyes from us.
● If we learn to trust in God and rely on him he will help us in every detail of our lives we
may stumble but he will pick us right back up on our feet and hold us by the hand.
● God doesn’t forget about those who seek him wholeheartedly
● When we are in Christ that means that he will also correct us when he knows we are in a
wrong path by using people that surround us or going through difficult obstacles and
facing the consequences.
● He is patient and understanding towards all of us but also forgives for the things we do
and that proves his unfailing love.
Application

5/9/18
Scripture:
● “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every
creature.” -Mark 16:15
● And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they
straightway left their nets, and followed him. -Matthew 4:19-20
● So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for
Christ when we plead,“Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to
be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ
● “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one
another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near
● “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of
this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”-Matthew 28:19-20

Observation:
● When we come to christ we are need to share his Good news
● He’s commanding us to share the good news with everyone who we come across to
● He doesn’t want us to stay quiet about our faith, but to go and save lives for him
● God wants us to let go of everything and trust in him and follow him
● Jesus will help us win souls for him by sharing his good news and telling people about
what he can do in their lives
● Jesus wants us to guide lost souls to him, so he can change their lives
● We are being representatives of Christ when we preach the plan of salvation to
everyone
● Spread the good news while there is still time because God is coming soon
● The Lord wants everyone to receive salvation while there is still time because he wants
everyone to repent of their sins and be saved
● Prepare yourself so that God can use you
● Find opportunities to testify
