Dear student,
We wish you a very happy Summer Vacation from 16th May, 2016 to 3rdJuly,
2016. It’s time to enjoy with your family and friends, explore books, visit new
places, watch informative programmes and play games. Make your vacation
fulfilled and meaningful with brainstorming, constructive and interesting
activities. Give a vent to your creativity and make optimum use of your potential.
This will enhance the learning process and your personality.

Do remember to -
 begin your day with a morning walk and exercises to keep fit and healthy.
 read books to enhance linguistic skills, promote imagination and expand
the horizon of thoughts and expressions.

1. DREAM AND DESIGN


Design an environment friendly house for
yourself. Each room of the house should have
access to light and fresh air. Your house
should have ways of conserving the natural
resources [For example Rainwater harvesting
etc] and features that will make your house
energy efficient. Draw the map of the house
using a suitable scale.

2. HEALTH IS WEALTH

United Nations has declared June 21st as


International Yoga Day. This headline has
made people all over the world conscious of
their health. How do you think Yoga helps you
as a student? Make a poster on the topic-
Staying Healthy and Fit or make an
advertisement showing how ‘Mother’s Kitchen’
overpowers the ‘Fast food Joints of Today’.
3. TREASURE HUNT

Monuments are important to a country and it is


significant to preserve them as our national
heritage. Do you agree with this statement?

a) Design a magazine presenting any five


famous monuments of India. The
magazine must include-
 specific information about the history of
the monument.
 ancient or original name of the place.
 location on the map of India.
 major attractions inside the monument.
