The inner and center tank pumps operate in Auto Feed when the pumps are set to
operate as follows :
- One or two left inner tank pumps
AND
AND
When pump faults occur during AUTO FEED, an ECAM message 'AUTO FUEL FEED FAULT'
is shown on the EWD. When an AUTO FUEL FEED FAULT occurs, it is recommended that
you do a check of the LEDs on the Auto Fuel Feed Controller (AFFC) (185QA) to
find the cause of the fault.
NOTE : The ECAM message AUTO FUEL FEED FAULT can be shown as a spurious warning
when an inner tank is at low level (typically during descent or taxi-in).
Switch OFF the center tank pumps to clear the message.
The bottom row of four LEDs, EXTERNAL STATUS HISTORY, shows the fault pattern
related to the previous flight Legs. The highest priority of fault history is
shown first.
The one LED on the top right, AFFC STATUS CURRENT, shows the internal status of
the AFFC. This LED is red if an internal AFFC fault has been found. The one LED
on the bottom right, AFFC STATUS HISTORY, shows the history of the internal
status. If the LED is red, an internal AFFC fault has occured during the
privious 19 flight Legs.
