 Courage the Cowardly Dog (TV show)

In the TV show, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Courage, a canine raised by an elderly

couple, faces many misadventures with supernatural people. He is known to be a coward, but

ends up saving his owners from danger. When Courage was a puppy, a vet flew his parents up

into outer space. Mariam, an elderly lady, found him in the streets and took him to her home.

Courage loves his family and strives to keep them safe. Throughout the show, he ends up saving

his family in peril. Although Courage was coward, he showed bravery by facing his fears and

rescuing his family. He was not expected to be the hero of his family.

 The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (video game)

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie video game is based on the movie The SpongeBob

SquarePants Movie where SpongeBob and Patrick are set out to retrieve King Neptune’s crown

which was stolen from Plankton. King Neptune believes Mr. Krabs stole his crown and freezes

im. SpongeBob promises King Neptune that he will return his crown which has been sent to

Shell City. If the crown is not restored, then King Neptune will thaw Mr. Krabs into liquid. Mr.

Krabs is worried because SpongeBob is known as childish and immature. On the way to Shell

City, SpongeBob and Patrick overcome obstacles. Meanwhile, a diver comes down and captures

them. They are taken into a store which is called “Shell City.” Because it is on land, SpongeBob

and Patrick are not able to breathe. When SpongeBob and Patrick start to shed a tear, water

comes down. They both take the crown and are driven by a man back to the Krusty Krab. Just in

time,

SpongeBob and Patrick return the crown. Everyone in Bikini Bottom is under control, but

SpongeBob releases them by singing a Goofy Goober song.

SpongeBob and Patrick were the least expected to save Bikini Bottom from Plankton.

Everyone knew they were doomed when they were sent off to retrieve the crown. SpongeBob

and Patrick had courage to go on land, since they are sea creatures. Plankton did not expect them

to come back alive. Ultimately, SpongeBob and Patrick overcame their fears and saved Bikini

Bottom.

 The Little Engine that Could (children’s story)

In the children’s story, The Little Engine that could, an engine accepts the job to pull a

large train over a mountain. The little engine is employed to pull a few cars’ on and off switches.

One morning, a train needs to be pulled up a mountain to bring toys to the village on the other

side of the hill. The other engines refuse to take the task for various reasons. In desperate need,

the train asks the little engine if he will take the challenge. Although pulling the large train was

seemingly an impossible task for the little engine, he accepts it. When the little engine was

pulling the train, he kept saying to himself, “I think I can.” The engine ends up pulling the train

to the village. The village and train give thanks to the engine for his courage. The little engine

was not anticipated to haul the train up the hill by the other engines.

 Tyler Doohan, an eight year old, saves six people in a trailer fire, but dies trying to save

others. He was sleeping over at his grandfather’s trailer in Penfield. Because of an electrical

problem, the trailer caught on fire. Tyler was the only one in the trailer who was awake during

the fire. He went through the trailer and was able to wake up six people whom made it out alive.

Tyler went back to rescue his uncle, who has a broken leg, but didn’t make it in time. Tyler, his

uncle, and his grandfather died in the trailer fire. Tyler’s bravery saved 6 other people. His

family did not expect Tyler, eight year old, to have such courage.

 Mulan (movie)

In the movie, Mulan, a young girl named Mulan, disguises like a man and joins in the

Chinese Army for her father. Because the Han China is being under attack, the Chinese Emperor

requires a man from each family to join the army. The only man in Mulan’s family is her elderly

father. Mulan is anxious about her father fighting in a war, so she fills in for him. Women are not

allowed to join the army, so she pretends to be a man named Ping. Mulan uses her fighting skills

she learned from the training camp against the Huns. When she gets aid, the general figures out

she is a women. The army leaves her at the campsite and hike back toward the Emperor. Mulan

catch the Huns make way to the Emperor and warns the city, but they ignore her. Meanwhile, the

leader of the Huns capture the Emperor. Mulan figures a plan to get into the building with the

help of three soldiers. Ultimately, they retrieve the Emperor and the Emperor praises Mulan for

her service.

 Although Mulan is a women, she saved China. When the villages saw Mulan fight Shan

Yu, the captain of the Huns, they were amazed by her bravery. The Emperor praised her for

being a hero, even though she disobeyed the laws. Therefore, the courage to fight Shan Yu came

from Mulan, a women, instead of a man.
