PRACTICUM Fourth Grade, Tuscany Elementary School, Calgary, AB Mar 2017 to Apr 2017
EXPERIENCE • Implemented mathematical centers and literacy centers using
‘Words Their Way’ in order to differentiate for the varying
students’ learning styles, rates, and needs.
• Designed lesson plans on indigenous values, culture, history,
residential school, and reconciliation in order to build students’
understanding for their ‘Learning through the Arts’ experience.
• Delivered an interdisciplinary farming and agriculture in Alberta
unit plan which involved real life planting experiences and
guest speakers.

• Accommodated a Lights and Shadows unit plan for a visually
impaired student by working closely with a braille assistant.

to help improve literacy skills for groups of five students.
• Utilized Smart Board technology and physical manipulatives
in order to help build students’ understanding in mathematics.
