little more pay than actual work so I am fearful of them going into debt but as
for me I am secure in a job in nursing.” She feels that they need more workers
for her field of work because there is always too many patients and sometimes

***Questions 7-10 will be created by the ISM student.

7. Why did you decide to become a nurse?

She grew up wanting to be a doctor and never a nurse because she didn’t
want to work under a doctor’s wing but when she was in college after
going through 4 years of college she found out she was pregnant. She then
had her baby and decided she would rather go through nursing school
than medical school so she could get done a little faster.

8. What do you think is the most important traits of becoming a nurse?

“Nursing takes a compassionate and caring person who is willing to work hard
for someone else’s good. Nursing is not a walk in the park so when I see
certain people who always look like they hate their job and are mean to
patients I wonder why they even considered nursing. You have to be willing
to work hard and also have sympathy and kindness toward patients.”

9. What is the hardest part of your job?

“The stress and friction of everyone rushing all the time. Always trying to
make the doctors, patients and your co-workers happy can become very
stressful. Having to meet everyone’s needs and keep a calm work environment
is sometimes hard in frantic situations.”
10. What’s your favorite part of your job? “I really enjoy taking care of patients
and getting to know them. It brings me joy to be able to discharge patients and
know that they are feeling better. It makes me happy to be able to help the
elderly to because it brings back memories of my grandparents and only
makes me want to help them and love on them more.”
