1 INTRODUCTION
This document briefly describes the Optenet categories currently developed for the
OST solution. In addition, several URL examples are included for each category.

It is required to point out that most of the time the same URL website may belong to
more than one category.

1. Adult games: Sites providing games of a violent, pornographic or erotic nature or

content; also games related to hate, sects and racism. It includes multiplayer open
games where action might derive to such content.

2. Alcohol & Tobacco: Websites that sell or promote the use of tobacco or alcohol
for human consumption, as well as items and products specifically related with its
intake.

3. Anonymizers: Websites that prevent third parties from discovering the addresses

4. Anorexia - Bulimia: Websites devoted to promote and instigate eating desorders.

7. Blogs: Free pages where people can publish their diaries and any experiences,
comments, ideas, etc. they wish to share over the Internet.

8. Bombs (& Weapons): Websites that explain how to prepare, make, build,
distribute and use explosives and explosive devices. Also sites that provide
information, promote or sell firearms and sharp weapons for sport, hunting or
military use; it does not include pocket and kitchen knifes. In this category
individuals or organizations that promote terrorism are also included. This category
also includes pages related to the weapon, ammunition, and items for martial arts
and personal defense (e.g. sprays, brass knuckles), including collector items.

9. Chat: Websites where you can communicate with other users in real time.

offer/demand goods and services. Those pages where a money transaction is
permitted are also classified in the “Shopping” category.

14. DNS Services: This term covers connections from computers on the company’s

configurable target port. This means that the company’s Internet computer can
make use of tools such as Remotely Anywhere which gives the user of the internal
