AMINUR RASHID
Chairman

Graduating from IBA & having more than 18 years of


illustrious career, Mr. Aminur Rashid has been the
driving force in creating new businesses, nurturing them
and growing them to become market leaders as well as
trend setters. He started his career through SIEMENS
Bangladesh Ltd. (100% subsidy of SIEMENS AG,
Germany) and within 8 years of time, he became the
Director of Industry & Consumer Products Division
where he worked for more than 11 years & after that he
started his own venture.
Under his direct supervision and guidance, EDISON
Group has become one of the prominent groups in
Bangladesh within a very short period of time. He is one
of the creators of SYMPHONY Mobile. Despite being
Chairman of the group, he is actively involved in every
aspect of business and plays a vital role in giving
successful direction for the growth of the group. Mr.
Rashid is leading the group to be well structured with
proper corporate governance and is directly guiding the
group to become the top brand in Bangladesh.
JAKARIA SHAHID
Managing Director

Every business needs people for stability and smooth


operation, whose presence inspires people and
provides the guidance to reach their goal. Mr. Jakaria
Shahid is one of those people who like the captain of a
ship, always helps to maintain the smooth business
operation of the group. He has more than 18 years of
illustrious career through which he has contributed in
shaping businesses. As a financial expert, he brought
stable high growth in each and every business of the
group. He did his MBA in Accounting. He started his
career from SIEMENS Bangladesh Ltd. where he was
the General Manager of Industry & Consumer Products
Division. Mr. Jakaria Shahid worked there for more than
10 years and left SIEMENS to start his own venture.
With his direct guidance, the EDISON Group has
successfully reached its target and is continuing to do
so. His personnel management system and efficient
coordination policy is helping the group grow smoothly.
He is a people-oriented leader with experience, skills
and calmness to get the best out of his people for the
overall improvement of the group, as well as for the
people of the organization.
MD. MAKSUDUR RAHMAN
Senior Director, Business Operations

Maksudur Rahman has over 18 years of experience in finance, management,


accounting, strategic planning, supply chain, business operations and
organizational risk management arena. He is a post graduate in commerce as
well as professional cost and management accountant (FCMA). Previously, he
had been serving in different senior managerial positions of leading MNCs like
Grameenphone, Warid Telecom and Airtel Bd Ltd. As a business driven
financial professional, he is playing a very strong role for the continuous growth
of EDISON Group. “Passion for Business” is his thought process.

ASHRAFUL HAQUE
Director, Marketing

Ashraful Haque did his MBA from IBA, University of Dhaka and has acquired
over 18 years of experience in FMCG industry. Apart from creating RADHUNI
and RUCHI brands, he also worked extensively in establishing some other
brands such as: ORSaline, Panther, Sensation, PRAN & SureCash. He is now
in charge of creating and nourishing country’s number 1 mobile handset brand
SYMPHONY. He is committed to continuous improvement through learning and
innovation. His method of achieving goals lies chiefly in making people
envision the objective through transformative leadership focusing on energizing
and engagement.

IRFANUL HUQ
Deputy Director, Sales & Distribution

Irfanul Huq has the capacity to build segment specific channel structure to cater
all the target customer and can ensure nationwide presence including deep
rural penetration, driving sales, attaining visibility leadership through
operational excellence. He is one of the committed professionals with more than
19 years of experience in the field of sales & distribution. During this period he
has exposure in various reputed organizations like MGH Group, PBTL,
RanksTel, Airtel and bKash. He holds an academic background in Marketing.
He has exposure in different international and local workshop & training.

AHMED PASHA
Director, Strategic HR & IT

Ahmed Pasha is one of the strategic leaders who is contributing for the
continuous growth of the group since its inception. Before joining the group, he
had a dynamic career in renowned companies like Nielsen, SIEMENS and
some other prominent companies since 2001. Mr. Pasha did his MBA from IBA
after completing Masters in Economics from University of Dhaka. He has a
visionary instinct to make HR a strategic business partner. Organizational and
employee development is at the core of all his activities.
S.M. MORSHED-UZ-ZAMAN
Director, Customer Service

S. M. Morshed-Uz-Zaman is a Customer Service & IT Service Management


professional with 17 years of track record in leading multinational Telecom, IT,
Mobile Financial & Device industries in Bangladesh. He also possesses vast
experience in business process, technology integration and people-focus
leadership from Grameenphone, GPIT, bKash and SYMPHONY Mobile in senior
management role. Moreover, he holds an academic background in management
and has participated in a lot of international trainings & workshops.

MAJOR ABDUL MALEQUE MIAZEE, PSC


Director, Corporate Affairs

Major Miazee (retd.) served Bangladesh Army for 26 years including 3 years
in MIST as General Staff Officer Grade – II. He is qualified from Defense
Services Command and Staff College and also did his Masters from National
University. He also served in the United Nations as a military observer in
Tajikistan and Contingent Member in Sierra Leone. Before joining EDISON
Group, he was security and fire consultant in Bangladesh Export Processing
Zones Authority (BEPZA) under the prime minister’s office. For last 5 and half
years, he is with the group as Head of Corporate Affairs.

JAFRUL ALAM KHAN


Business Director, Electronics and Appliances Division

Jafrul Alam Khan has over 26 years of experience in the field of Company
Management, New Business development, Retail Chain store development, Sales
Management, Marketing & Customer services division of Electronics business.
During his long and magnificent career he has worked with several high profile
multinational and local companies like Transcom Electronics Limited, Singer
Bangladesh Limited, Pathfinder Group Karachi, Pakistan and JFCO Trade
International limited. He has completed his M.Com in Accounting from
Chittagong University and EMBA in Marketing from IBA (DU). As a professional
he believes in achieving goal with team playing approach.

MOHAMMAD LAKITULLAH
Business Director, Elevator and Marine Solutions

Mohammad Lakitullah is a skilled Electrical Engineer and obtained


Management Course (EMBA) from DUKE University, North Carolina, USA and
having 21 years of magnificent career with SIEMENS, a German multinational
company and around 10 years as an entrepreneur. Mr. Lakitullah has been
proactive in sharing his knowledge and experience in every wings under
EDISON Group although his concerned company is EDISON Power
Bangladesh Ltd. and its division Elevator & Marine Solutions.
Under his supervision and guidance the division has grown tremendously.
Despite conducting his own department his activity involved in every aspect of
new businesses incepted and initiated with EDISON Group.
BRIG GEN TASADDEK HOSSAIN
Senior Director, EDISON Properties Ltd.

Brig Gen Tasaddek Hossain has served in the Bangladesh Army for 30 years
and after his retirement in 2009, has since been working in the field of Property
Management in the Real Estate sector of Bangladesh. He started his career
working for Labaid Properties Ltd. and since 2016 has been working as a Sr.
Director for EDISON Properties Ltd. His tenure in Army has instilled in him
determination, commitment and integrity which have made him a strong
individual and a capable professional.
Since joining EDISON Properties Ltd, Mr. Tasaddek is successfully overseeing
the operations of properties and is working to ensure the department operations
surpasses the industry standards.

MATIUR RAHMAN
Director, Finance, Planning and Controlling

Md. Matiur Rahman, FCA, FCMA has over 20 years industry experience in
Planning, Strategic Management, Financial Accounting and Cost Management
with more than 10 years’ in the world’s leading multinational company G4S Plc
where he served as CFO and Company Secretary. He joined the EDISON
Group in December 2016 as Director – Planning, Controlling and Strategies.
Besides Bangladesh, he has served in UK, USA and Australia and is well
travelled in many countries across Asia, Middle East and North America.

FRANCO COLOMBO
Director, EDISON Footwear

Franco Colombo is one of the most senior, experienced and only foreign
member in EDISON family. Graduated in Electrotechnics from Bernocchi
Industrial High School in Legnano, Italy, he started his career in 1976. He has
more than 40 years of working experience in the shoe industry. He has worked
for many multinational companies and was employed in different countries.
Currently he is working as the Business Director of EDISON Footwear, the first
manufacturing venture of the Group. His inclusion has brought world class
expertise in EDISON Footwear.

ENGR. ABUL BASAR


Director, PEtelCO

Engr. Abul Basar, B. Sc. Engg (EEE) is serving as the Director at PEtelCO, a
concern of EDISON Group and involved himself more than15 years on this
relevant field. Engr. Basar earned a vast knowledge on designing,
manufacturing, tendering, commissioning of Power and Distribution
Transformer/substation along with marketing & sales leading experience.
With his engagement as Director, PEtelCO's clients benefited from engineering
strategic ability to quickly convert abstract missions into tangible action plans
with coherent creative that serves the bottom line.
MAHMOOD AKBAR BHUIYAN
Director, Hexagon Technologies Ltd.

Mahmood Akbar Bhuiyan is the Managing Director of Hexagon Technologies


Limited. He obtained Masters in several disciplines at home & abroad and
served both in government & corporate sectors. He had remarkable success
while serving in public and private sectors at various appointment in various
capacites.

RIAZ AHAMED

Riaz Ahamed started his career as a pilot in Bangladesh Air Force. Later on he
switched into media arena and became an eminent actor, producer, model &
television presenter. He appeared in more than 100 Bangla films and bagged
numerous awards including three “National Film” awards and seven “Meril
Prothom Alo” awards. Having high exposure into media for more than 15 years
he decided to lead an advertising agency.

Engr. Md. Elias completed his B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from RUET and
has been excelling in the power sector for more than 19 years. Before joining
EDISON Group, he had worked in renowned multinational companies such as

journey from November 2013. The main focus of the company is to sell
Multi Brand Mobile Handsets & Mobile Accessories from its own &
franchisee brand outlets named as “EDISON Smart Plug In”. Currently the
company has over 160 Brand outlets which serve customers almost in all the
divisional towns and major district towns. The Brand outlets are focused to
ensure customer satisfaction with wide range of product line and services.
Original handsets are displayed and sold to the end customers from a very
soothing environment by the most customer friendly executives.

Mobile accessories department started its business as a supporting unit of
SYMPHONY Mobile from November, 2011. Judging by the high potentiality
of this market, the management of EDISON Group decided to provide full
concentration in this business unit from January 2012. Since then, this
growing business unit is serving the market with more than 50% growth rate.
Mobile accessories started the business with three categories only - Battery,
Charger and Earphone. Currently, Accessories has more than 200+ running
SKUs in the market which fall under 10 categories ranging from MMC card,
Power bank, OTG Pendrive, Flip Cover and back cover, Cover glass,
Bluetooth speaker and selfie stick. There are more than 130 dealers and
10,000 retail coverage in the market.
Providing best quality product within a competitive price is the main
concern. QC team always checks the quality of the product prior to launch
in the market. After sales service is a high priority and that’s why the team
is also working to provide best after sales service in the market. Comparing
with others, it has the lowest product return rate from the market.

Recently EDISON became the official distributor for JBL and Harman Kardon
brand accessories.
SECURITIES & IT
Securities & IT Accessories department started from June, 2014. Considering the
high potentiality of this market, the management of EDISON Group decided to
provide full concentration in this business. Since then, this growing business unit
is serving the market with more than 30% growth rate.
Securities & IT Accessories department started with CCTV Surveillance
products and IT accessories like HDD, networking products. Currently it has
near about 100+ running SKUs in the market. It has the categories of CCTV,
Access Control, Installation accessories.
The team emphasizes a great deal on providing best quality products in a
competitive pricing and continuously works towards achieving this
objective. R&D team always checks the quality of the product to ensure
customer satisfaction. In comparison to the other suppliers it has the lowest
return rates from the market, which proves the quality concern EDISON

EDISON POWER

EDISON Group gained the trust of the people by becoming the


custom solution specialist through providing various types of
Elevators & Escalator etc. as an authorized distributor of ISUZU
elevator and escalator in Bangladesh.
ISUZU Japan ventured into China as a cost efficient
manufacturing alternative.
The products include: Passenger Elevators, Observation
Lifts, Bed Lifts, Freight Lifts, Machine Room-less Lifts, Home Lifts,
Dumbwaiters, Stair Lifts, Escalators, Conveyers and Auto Car
park system. Also Isuzu is capable of manufacturing hydraulic
lift upon customers’ request.
SWITCHGEAR COMPONENTS (LV)
In an electric power system, switchgear is the combination of electrical
disconnect switches, fuses or circuit breakers used to control, protect and
isolate electrical equipment. Switchgears are used both to de-energize
equipment to allow work to be done and to clear faults downstream.
Catering the full range of the SIEMENS LV switchgear components ranging
from a 2A MCB to 6300A ACB in addition to other items like contactors,

of electrical power using set of copper/Aluminum bus bars enclosed with

EDISON Power a member of EDISON Group, was established in the year
2008 as “VibroPower Bangladesh Ltd.” with the aim to provide custom
energy solutions to its customers. From its inception, the venture is doing
