SUMMER IN-SERVICE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
IV. Proposed Venue: Cawayan National High School, Cawayan, Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro
V. Rationale:
The major key in the achievement of goals of all organizations depends on the work environment
and human resources.
In response to the agency call for the achievement of DepEd mission that is to “facilitate learning
and constantly nurture every learner, administrators and staff, as stewards of the institution” Cawayan
National High School proposed a SUMMER IN-SERVICE LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM.
VI. Objectives
General: Conduct seminar-workshop on latest orders and memoranda’s and review of ethical
standards for public servants.
Specific:
1. Discuss the 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions.
2. Introduce programs on Learning and Development and Professional Standards for Teachers.
3. Recognize/review the roles as public officials and employees (Civil Service Rules).
4. Review the practices of a 21st Century Teachers/Educators/Employees.
5. Discuss the Oplan Balik Eskwela and School Calendar of activities.

Madam:
Greetings!
The Learning and Development Program is one of the emerging project of the Department. A
School has to implement series of Learning and Development Programs for its employees to ensure
success of the services we render to our clientele. Through Learning and Development Activities, the
employees will be exposed to and will be familiarized with the work-related environment related to their
field of services. Specifically, the employees will be able to:
Appreciate the importance and application of the principles and theories learned in various
seminar and workshop offered by the Department.
Enhance their technical knowledge and skills.
Enrich their skills in communications and human relations.
Develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation, and respect for work.
In this relation, Cawayan National High School would like to hold a Learning and Development
Workshop for Teachers and Employees this May 21-25, 2018, where topics to be discussed are the
following: (1) Omnibus Human Resource Rules on Appointment and Other Human Resource Actions, (2)
Introduction of Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers, (3) Learning and Development Programs,
(4) 21st Century Teachers, (5) Revisit of Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees,(6) English
Proficiency (7) School Improvement Plan (Revisit) (8) Classroom Management (Review) (9) Oplan
Balik Eskwela and School Calendar 2018-2019.
Thus, we would like to seek permission from your good office for the conduct of this activity and
allocation of certain funds therefore relative to SOB and AIP. Attached herewith are the budget proposal
and training matrix for your kind approval.
