Last week my father went to Bali for a bussiness meeting. He took us, the family to come along with him. He
asked us to enjoy saying in the hotel and playing on the beach while he was having his bussiness meeting. We
stayed in the hotel near a beach.

When we arrived at the hotel, my father talked to a receptionist to get a room. The clerk at the reception desk
give the key to our room. Then the porter carried our bag to our room. We got a big room on the third floor. The

A young and very beautiful princess lost her ball in the water while she was playing by the side of a lake. She
began to cry so sadly that the frog who sat beside the lake croaked to her, “What will you give me if I get you
your ball back?”

“All the gold you could wish for!” replied the princess. “No, I ask only that I’ll be allowed to stay with you and be

Last year, I went to Kupang. At first, I thought the place was only the same as other places in NTT. But I was very
surprised to find that it was the most beautiful place I’ve ever visited.

There were a fantastic meadow, a lake and a river. The meadow was very large. In the middle of the meadow,
there were many cows and sheep. All the animals were fat and healthy because they could easily get some grass
in the large meadow. At the edge of meadow, there was a small river. The water in the river was very cold but
the sound of the streaming water was good to be heard, especially in the evening.

Not being able to sleep, Iwan sat up in bed peering into the darkness. Suddenly he felt a current of cold air. He

One evening last week my wife and I were sitting quietly at home. Suddenly we heard a loud bang. I supposed
that the old lady in the flat above ours was moving the furniture about. My wife was afraid that the noise would
wake the baby. She turned down the TV and moment later we heard someone calling for help.

Once a fisherman named Batara Guru Sahala lived in Batakland. One day, he caught a fish. To his surprise, he
found that the fish could talk! It begged Sahala to set it free. Sahala did accordingly.

As soon as the fish was free, it changed into a woman. She was so beautiful that the fisherman fell in love with
her at once. He asked her to marry him. The woman agreed to marry Sahala. However, she told him that he must

The old witch locked Hansel in a cage and set Gretel to clean the house. She planned to eat them both. Each night
the children cried and begged the witch to let them go. Meanwhile, at home, their stepmother was beginning to
wish she had never tried to get rid of the children. ”I must find them,” she said and set off into the forest.

It happened one weekend while I was at the fairground. I was with my friend Sarah and we were both really
excited. The flashing lights and bright colours made everything appear magical. We were having a great time and
we had been on most of the rides when Sarah pointed to the big wheel. The sign said “$1 for a two-minute ride”.

At first I wasn’t sure, but Sarah had been on it before. “It only takes two minutes,” she said. “Come on- it’s a really
