These activities planned for the summer vacation have been planned to keep our little ones

busy with fun filled learning. The work presented should be done by the student
himself/herself and may be submitted to the respective class teachers when the school
reopens. Parents are requested to merely guide the students as they engage in the activities.
Independent work is encouraged.
(PIE) worksheets: (Preliminary-Intermediate-Expert) have been uploaded for English, Math
and EVS. Choose at least two different levels for your ward for practice at home.

ENGLISH:
LISTENING SKILLS
Encourage your child to listen to stories and rhymes.
Read aloud and encourage them to retell the stories and recite rhymes
Challenge them to identify different sounds in the environment.
SPEAKING SKILLS
Show ‘N’ Tell- show and tell is a common expression about showing an audience something
and telling them about it. It inculcates in children the skills of public speaking.
Encourage your child to show and talk about any topic(s) (My friend, My favourite food/
toy/ game/ summer vacation etc). Record videos of the same and submit the videos to the
Class Teacher.
Story Fun:
Choose of stories of your choice.
Encourage your child to tell at least two stories in his/her words using different props of
their choice like masks/ puppets/ head gears. Record a video of the same and send it to your
ward’s class teacher
READING & WRITING SKILLS–
Be sure your child reads at least 15 minutes a day.
Encourage your child to read the CVC words, Sight words (ppt uploaded) and Simple
Sentences.
Refer to ‘Phono Drill ’text book and the Readers (Uploaded on My learning)

2. ) Perform simple science experiments
Observe and Record your findings on the observation sheet (uploaded in the EVS folder)
 Mix Oil and water: Let it settle and then add a drop of paint and observe what
happens next.
• Milk and Primary colours: Mix different primary colours with milk and Observe.
Click pictures of both experiments and paste them as per the child creativity
