ELEMENTARY ENGLISH FINAL PROJECT

Achievement: To characterize through an authentic design of virtual learning object all the topics

taught during the semester straight in regards to Commerce items.

Objectives:

- To raise communicative competence by integrating ICT´s and their impact on students´

conceptions about financial crises.

- To describe the most influential financial crises through History.

- To understand economy from negative perspectives and its impact on culture and politics.

Description: This project aims at contextualizing how our History has evolved both positively and

negatively based on economical items. Financial crises helped economies to be stronger and adopt

alternatives to become safer and above all stable. Nevertheless, the constant movement of this

globalized world does not allow economies to keep in just one setpoint.

Activity 1.

Sign up PADLET. Padlet is a digital website that allows to create walls by using multimedia tools
such as videos,
podcasts, files among others. It is a 2.0 website where you can customize your visual presentation

about any topic you want.

a. Sign up Padlet for free individually.

b. On this wall, you will organize creatively spaces to illustrate Financial crises you have

previously selected.

c. Upload a picture of yours on Padlet and title the wall with your name and the name of the

project: Ex: Juan Rojas final project on financial crises.

d. You have to share your Padlet by making this public and allow the teacher to know all the

editions you make. Send the link to my mail Christian.croberto@gmail.com to see your

Padlet every time you finish an activity.

ACTIVITY 3. POSTING VIDEO ON PADLET.

For this final activity, you will shoot a video where you pick out one of the financial crises that you

are interested most to talk about. On this video, you have to organize questions to be answered as

follows: How did this start? How did this affect? How could this be avoided? You can express your

opinions or points of view bearing in mind all of economically, socially, politically aspects. Use your
creativity to shoot this video.

Criteria to assess the video:

- It is compulsory to hold out 7 minutes. It does not count on introduction, editing or

something like that, you may add bloopers if want to, but bear in mind this will not be

taken into account as part of the video itself.

- High sound quality: Be careful recording in wide spaces, avoid noisy places that may

interrupt you or gum up to understand what you are saying.

- Focus on angling with enough space each one of the shoots you make.

- You may add musical background to attune.

- Practice your pronunciation on words, grammatical structures before shooting.

- The video has to be uploaded on PADLET by being linked from Youtube, or it can be

uploaded from another server you want. I truly recommend using Youtube, but if you

decide for another one, it is accepted.

- Deadline to get your video uploaded on PADLET JUNE 1ST/15. After this deadline

overdue videos will not be taken into consideration to be assessed, please keep a tally of

what I wrote before.
