Now work in Diamond pattern as follows:
Row 1: (right side) K1, *k1 , k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl1 , k1,

Row 2 and every alternate row following: K1, P to
last st, k1.
Row 3: K1, *k2tog, yo, k3, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k1; rep
from * to end.
Row 5: K2tog, *yo, k5, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso; rep from
* to last 2 sts, sl 1, k1, psso.
Row 7: K1, *yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, yo, k1; rep
from * to end.
Row 9: K1, *k1, yo, sl 1, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, yo, k2;
rep from * to end.

Beaded Fringe: Cut 20 strands of yarn 36" [91.5 em]
long. Slip one bead onto a strand of yarn. Fold strand
in half, having bead at fold. Slip 4 beads onto dou-
bled strand. Slip one bead onto one yarn end. Tie
both yarn ends tog and into a knot. Trim ends close
to knot. Move last bead to cover knot.
