PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO FILE TIMELY REPORT:

There is a late filing fee for each Campaign Finance Report or Affidavit that is not filed on or before the due date. The fee
is $20 per day for the first 6 days that a pre-election report or affidavit is overdue and $10 per day thereafter. If the report
is a post-election report the fee is $10 for each day the report is late. The maximum fee chargeable is $500.

How to File
MD CRIS: Using any Internet browser, log in at www.campaignfinance.maryland.gov . You can file your campaign
finance report up to 11:59pm on the filing deadline. An email will be sent to you verifying the submission of the report.

Mail: A report that is mailed is considered timely, regardless of when it is received, if there is a U.S. Postal Service
postmark that confirms that the report was mailed on or before the report due date. A report that has a private postage
meter postmark or that is supported by a receipt from a private carrier, will also be considered timely if the receipt or
postmark indicates that the report was sent on or before the report due date, and the report is received within 3 days after
the filing deadline. Mail to: State Board of Elections, PO Box 6486 Annapolis, MD 21401-0486.

Hand Delivered: A report may be hand delivered to the State Board of Elections office in Annapolis. It must arrive on or
before 5:00 PM on the report due date. Deliver to: State Board of Elections, 151 West Street, Suite 200, Annapolis, MD.

Note: The report must be filed whether or not transactions occurred.
