Germany

We choose Germany because we think that now a days Germany is one of the most
important and successful countries in the world witch a lot of opportunities to
overcome for the workers.
After the end of World War II, German territory was divided into four areas of
occupation with its main cities destroyed by bombing. The trade and industry of the
country had disappeared and the economy in general presented a desolate
panorama, then the territory begins to unify and the country start to improve the
economy situation and some years later Germany became in one of the most
important countries in the world with an excellent economy and a lot of opportunities
to overcame
Why Germany became in one of the most successful countries in the world?
Because they have a lot of rules in the work, the employees can´t use any social
network in the labor hours, is prohibited use the cellphone and the mail for personal
issues and, of course is prohibited talk with the colleagues about matters outside
work during working hours.
It´s true that the rules are so strict but, the employees have a lot of benefits, some
of them are:
 When the working day are over, are over. It is prohibited receive emails
related with work after 6 pm.
 If you will be mother or father you obtain a permission for 14 months with the

employees have basic rights to:

• receive training
• maternity / paternity leave and related job protection
Protection from Discrimination
The Equal Treatment Act (AGG) contains special rules prohibiting discrimination in
the employment relationship based on specific characteristics provided for in the Act.
The following characteristics are protected from discrimination:
Age, Disability, Race, Religion or belief, Gender, Sexual orientation.

The following types of discrimination are prohibited:


Direct discrimination: Treating an individual less favourably because of a
characteristic protected by the AGG or any other unjustified reason.
Indirect discrimination: Applying a policy, criterion or practice to all individuals in a
group, that damage one of the group with any characteristic of AGG

The employees in Germany have a lot of opportunities to success, they can study
while they work, this is good because they can learn more about their jobs and can
do their work in a best way.
Worker's compensation in Germany is a national, compulsory program that insures
workers for injuries or illness incurred through their employment, or the commute to
or from their employment. Wage earners, apprentices, family helpers and students
including children in kindergarten are covered by this program. Almost all self-
employed persons can voluntarily become insured.
