Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ

Today’s gospel talks about the last supper of Jesus. Notice that this meal, like all
other meals in Jesus’ life growing up in Nazareth, started with a blessing. When we
eat as a family it is important to start with a prayer. Praying reminds us that we sit at
a table to do more than eat. We gather to share our lives and to strengthen the bond
that calls us to live our lives for one another.
330 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week. Our
vacancies are as follows: Sunday 1-2pm, Monday 8-9am, Wednesday 10-11am, 2-
3pm, Sunday 1-2am, 2-3am and a partner is needed for Friday 7-8am. Our Lord is
waiting for you to come and spend some time with Him! “God will bless us if we just
show up and sit passively before Him, but there is so much more available to us than a
general blessing from God.” (Encountering Jesus) Call 330-690-9661.

Barberton Area Community Ministries item for the Month of June is Macaroni & Cheese.

WOMEN OF FAITH has just concluded another year of ministry to our parish and our
community. A great big thank you to everyone who attended meetings and so generously
supported the various service projects sponsored by the Women of Faith, without your
enthusiastic support, none of these activities would have been as successful as they were,
especially the annual Shrove Tuesday Card Party. I would like to express my deep gratitude
and personal thanks to Core Team Members Karen Bellett and Cindy Powell for their extreme
support and fellowship these past few years. These two ladies are great ambassadors for our
parish. The new year will begin in the fall with new leadership – Mary Smith, Carolyn King,
Anne Sweeney and Cindy Powell. Please consider supporting Women of Faith in the coming
year.
