A new compact so.ies of 400 watt and 1000 watt integral bal-
lasted heavy duty outdoor tloodlights teaturing superior opti-
cal design. When combined with Sylvania's new Metalarc
lamps, the floodlight projects a "batwlng" type distribution
resulting in exceptionally unilorm horizontal beam spreads
and high beam etticiencies. The design concept centers on
lhe new Metalarc lamp which is applicable when exceplional
color r€ndition, lumen per watt output and control are required.
ln addition to superior optics, these rugged, unitized flood-
lights teature a variety ot labor saving installation and main-
lenance features including complete lloodlight shipping in
- wiriig, easy-to-get-at integral ballasts,
one carton, simplified
tast lamp replacement, mounting flexibility, high impact cover
glass and long lasling corrosion resistant hardware. The Bat-
wing will serve a variety of outdoo. lighting applications

A graceful shaped tixture for incandescent or integral ballasted mercury

lighting with post top or hanging type mountings. These pleasing spheres
blend harmoniously with modern architectural styles and provide a comfort-
able low brightness and decorative touch to walkways, malls, campus
grounds, parks, and shopping centers. Ball globe sizes in acrylic are 16", 18",
20",22", and 24" and butyrate globes come in 16", 18", 2'1", and 24" sizes.
Luminaires mount on 3" O.D. post tops and/or base to accommodate a 1"
threaded pipe. Units are completely prewired and supplied with external
leads. A iull line of poles for various mounting configurations is available.
Recommended mounting height is 10'to l6'.

A compact, rugged, lightweight series of tloodlights for ouldoor and indoor Iighting applications. These
handsome, high efficiency units leature a single-ended, 250 watt iodine quartz lamp that offers 5000 lumens
and a 2000-hour lamp lite with no degradation in light output. Lumen maintenance is 97%. Color is excel-
lent. Units are not limited to horlzontal lamp operation. A 500 watt, 10,000 lumen, 2000-hour life version is
available in the conduit stem model. A series of color filters add greater versatility for all 250 watt models
only. All models are UL approved.

The MTH Luminaire was designed to meet the many existing raquiroments
lor private area lighting. lt consists ot a diecast head meeting N.E.M.A. Typo
A standards, thereby permitting interchangeability ot many existing programs.
The MTH otfers many economies because: 1. The head can be mounted on
€ither 17a-inch or 2-inch mast arms with no external parts necossary tor a
change in mast arm diameters; 2. A new socket design which atfords maxi-
mum ease ol installation; 3. Unique wireway tor ease ol insiallation lhat does
not require threading l€ads through the slipritter. The luminaire is available
in 100W, 175W, and 250W with either high roactance or reaclor type ballasts.
Th€ optical assembly consists of an aluminum retlector that accommodates
most open and closed bottom glass or plastic rgfractors ot any desired
IES-type distribution.
