Lesson Reflective Summary

MSP Cohort 2

School: Euharlee Elementary Grade: 5th

Lesson Topic: physical and chemical changes

The stations went very well and I will do it again next year. I think split it into two days
and spend more time letting them give reasoning at the actual station while it is fresh in
their memory. The Lego lesson seemed to help many of the students grasp the
difference between physical and chemical changes.
The students’ performance objectives we attained to a degree that I am confident that
they have an understanding but will need to continue to go back and review.
All students were able to master a degree of understanding from what they experienced
and observed.

When I reteach this this lesson, I will extend the lessons to allow more time and I will
spend more time on the specific differences between a chemical reaction and physical
change BEFORE they do the stations so that they will be able to do reasoning portion of
the lesson in the same day.
