Air Cleaner Assembly

SMCS - 1051-010

Remove And Install Air Cleaner Assembly

1. Remove the hood from the tractor.

2. Loosen two rod assemblies (2), and remove cover assembly (1) and the primary air filter element.

3. Remove eight nuts (6) and secondary air filter element (5) from air cleaner housing (3).

4. Remove two 12 point bolts (4), and remove air cleaner housing (3) from the elbow.

5. Loosen hose clamp (7) that holds the hose on elbow (8).

6. Disconnect line (9) from elbow (8).

7. Remove four bolts (10), and remove elbow (8) from the engine.

NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the air cleaner assembly.

8. Position elbow (8) on the engine and hose. Install four bolts (10) that hold it.

9. Connect line (9) to the elbow.

10. Tighten hose clamp (7) that holds the hose on elbow (8).

11. Position air cleaner housing (3) on the elbow, and install two 12 point bolts (4) that hold it.

12. Position secondary air filter element (5) on the studs, and install eight nuts (6) that hold it.

13. Install the primary air filter element and cover assembly (1). Tighten two rod assemblies (2).

14. Install the hood on the tractor.
