STRESS-FREE TRAVELLING: THEN VS NOW

Travelling is one of some favorite activity choices to spend on holiday or if you have
some leisure time. It is because there are a lot of choices in travelling. It can be done alone, in
pairs and also with family. However, travelling can be tricky sometimes. Some things need to be
prepared beforehand, so that travelling can be enjoyable and stress-free. Luckily, travelling is
moving forward from time to time. There are some aspects of travelling changing throughout the
years, resulting in some happy travelers.

First thing first when people are going to go somewhere quite far, usually people using
public transportation as the accommodation and for that they need tickets. Back then, buying
tickets need a strategy, especially in the holiday season. People need to choose the perfect time;
so that the line would not be so long and they will not spend extra time just to get some tickets.
Buying tickets also can be done only in certain place, for example, in the bus station where you
will be departing later on. Not to mention the system for a refund or changing dates is such a
pain in the ass. It was like climbing a mountain. Basically, buying tickets back then was such a
hustle, but luckily it is not anymore. Because, nowadays buying tickets can be done easily. You
can buy tickets in your pajamas at home. Technology allows you to do such thing through
websites and apps. The price between one another ticket will not disappoint the customers
because .... Choices of ways of payment also very various, so it is convenient to customers need.
The process of refunding and or changing dates is also very customers friendly and again it could
be done using websites or apps.

Next thing is transportation, just like what I said earlier that usually people use public
transportation to travel. There are several public transportations people can choose based on their
preference. Back then the government does not really keep their eye on this matter and that
makes the quality of Indonesians public transportation very bad. Let say busses, there is a basic
safety standard for a bus and its driver to operate, but because there is a lack of control from the
government the rules are easily broken. It is resulted in a lot of accidents.Therefore, nowadays
government has been keeping their eye on this matter and people can start to enjoy the result.
The busses now are proper-looking. If you ever find a bus driver that being reckless on the road,
you can report him or her, for the sake of customers’ safety. Another example is the train, back
then it was messy in the train station. People easily come in whether they are passenger or not
and that makes the train station is crowded. The situation worsen by the vendor, settling in
almost every little space human can fit in. It was just a total chaos. However, the system has now
been quite strict. Only passenger can go in and no unnecessary vendor. It makes the train station
way more comfortable and also clean-looking.

The last one is budget. Every person/many people might agree with me, when it comes to
budgeting, it is hard and tricky. Now and then, the possibility for any incident is similar, which is
unpredictable. Even though still the same, but back then, this matter was way harder to control.
Back then, all you can do is predicting and hoping you will not be so over-budget. Nowadays,
thanks for the help of apps, you can make budgeting much easier. For example, meals, you can
see the exact price of a menu at a restaurant just by typing it up on google. Therefore you can
manage your money easier and smarter.

Basically, travelling goes straight from hell to heaven because of the help of technology.
It makes travelling more enjoyable and definitely stress-free. Things that are used to be the worst
and very hard to deal with now, are surely getting better and better. Hopefully, things, such as
delay and double-booked can be handled soon enough, so that happy customers could be even
happier.
