Who exactly is Jim Thompson?

James Harrison Wilson Thompson who was known well
for “Thai Silk King,” who was born on 21st March 1906
was an American businessman who helped revitalize
the Thai silk industry in the 1950s and 1960s. A resident
of Thailand since 1946, Thompson had recognized the
potential of Thai silk and almost single-handedly made
it world-renowned. At the time of his disappearance, he
was one of the most famous Americans living in Asia.
Without his knowledge in Silk Industry, Thai Silks
would not be able to reach the international market and
make Thai goods well known all over the world
