[Q2]
meme chose je me serais tres vite lasse.
[Q5]

[Q1]
I just loved the music and so for 30 years, I was able to gain a lot of
experience.
Working on FF is a school in itself.
[Q2]
It depends on the projects. For example on FF, it is first of all from
the scenario that I compose the music.
And then, of course, there are drawings that the illustrators offer,
which can inspire me in parallel.
[Q3]
My favourite scenarios are FFVII and FFX.
In FFX more particularly, there is an important philosophical
element, which reminds me of the culture of Shinto in Japan, with
all this religious aspect and this relation to the divine.
This is especially what makes me prefer FFX.
[Q4]
Until now, if I had had the impression of doing the same thing all the
time, I would have grown weary very quickly.
I try to renew myself regularly. I had never done Gospel until now in
Final Fantasy and, like my work on "Victory Fanfare", I wanted to do
something new.
[Q5]
At the very beginning of Square Enix there was only me and well
with the addition of projects and the amount of work I had to hire
talented people like Kenji Ito, Yoko Shimomura, Hiroki Kikuta, and
more recently Hitoshi Sakimoto.
I chose them, and they each developed their own style, with a lot of
talent.
[Q6]
If I have a gift, it's really about choosing the right people.
Of course, it would be these composers of JRPG that I would choose
as my favorites.
[Q7]
In fact, I look a little dramas, but it does not inspire me because it is
a fad and the principle of fashion is to be ephemeral.
What is fashionable today will not be tomorrow.
[Q9]
Of course, there are occasionally still requests from Mr. Sakaguchi
that I do not understand and it will take time to explain to me what
does not suit him.
Other directors do not really tell me why they’re unhappy with it and
I’ll have to find the solution myself.
With Mr. Sakaguchi it is very much like “No, I do not want it in this
style, but rather something like that".
That kind of feedback helps my compositions a lot and we’ll usually
define the direction of the music together.
