CHARDHAM ITINERARY

Chardham- Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath & Badrinath


11 Days/10 Nights, Ex- Delhi

Day 1: Delhi - Haridwar (210 Kms/5hrs)


Meet & Greet with Our Chardham Representative & Your Journey Partners You will
depart for Haridwar by road with short visit of 'Akshardham Temple' It is hailed as an
eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. Swaminarayan Akshardham at New Delhi is
a Mandir – an abode of God, a Hindu house of worship, and a spiritual and cultural
campus dedicated to devotion, learning and harmony. Enroute hot Lunch at Cheetal
Grand or similar, arrive at Haridwar with traditional welcome & check in at hotel Ganga
Lahari. After Hi-Tea move for world famous Maa Ganga Aarti with special arrangement
at Har-ki-Pauri, Dinner following with Bhajan arrangement & Shubh Ratri……

Day 2: Haridwar – Barkot (185Kms/7hrs)


Departure from Haridwar at 0900 hrs. After breakfast, we proceed to Barkot. Travel
Route Haridwar / DDun / Mussoorie / Kempty / Nainbagh / Damda / Barkot.
Stop near Yamuna Bridge for lunch and for guests to refresh. Tea stalls are also
there (Packed lavish Lunch). Barkot is a place of great scenic beauty with
spectacular views of snow-capped mountains all around. A magnificent view of the
eternal snow peaks of Bandar punch can be seen from here. Arrive at Barkot with
traditional welcome & check in at The Chardham Camps Barkot. Details discussion

Dinner following by Katha Saar and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Barkot.
Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (38Kms/2hrs, local taxi drive 7 Kms/1hrs, 6
Kms/3hrs trek one side)
After early breakfast followed by shlok saar, we will proceed to Hanumanchatti via
Syanachatti (5 Kms. Before Hanumanchatti), from here local taxis are available for
Jankichatti. From Jankichatti we begin our trek to Yamunotri (6 km/3 hrs) to visit the
temple of Goddess Yamuna, situated on the bank of the river. You can take a holy dip in
the nearby tank filled by hot springs and cook rice in its water, the common rituals
performed by the devotees. enroute packed Lunch We return to Barkot in the evening.
Welcome Hi-Tea Laid out on Arrival for 30 Min, Dinner followed by evening Aarti and
Overnight at The Chardham Camp, Barkot.

Day 4: Barkot – Harsil (151 Kms, 6-7hrs)


• After breakfast we will proceed to Harsil- Travel Route Barkot to Dharashu
Bend/Uttarkashi/Uttarkashi Vishwanath temple, En-route we will stop at Gangnani
for hot water spring dip. Uttarkashi packed Lunch. Arrive at Harsil with traditional
welcome & check in at The Chardham Camps Harsil, after Hi-Tea we will move to
Mukhwa Village - Mukhwas Village is one of the popular tourist attractions of Harsil
located just 1 km from it. It is the winter home of Goddess Gangotri as Gangotri itself
is prone to heavy snowfall making the place pure and beautiful. People visit here in
large numbers to worship the Goddess and admire the beauty of the place. Details

Tea. Dinner at Annapurna with Katha Saar and overnight at The Chardham Camp,
Day 5: Harsil – Gangotri –Harsil ( 25 Kms / 30 Mins.)

Morning start with nature Walk to Wilson House 1.5kms away from Camp- E. Wilson
who was popularly known as “Pahari Wilson” by the locals who was a deserter from
the British army after 1857. When the king refused to give him shelter, he moved to
Harsil without informing the king. It is said that the revenue of the king of Tehri
went up ten times at that time. he introduced the villagers to the apple cultivation
and also built a suspension bridge over Jadganga for local people. Although the
bridge is no longer but the traces of it still remain. After breakfast, we proceed to
Gangotri (22 Kms/1 hr). On arrival take a holy deep in the River sacred The Ganges,
also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform pooja and relax in the lovely
surrounding. In the afternoon return back to Harsil for Lunch or packed Lunch at
Yamunotri. Welcome back at our camps with Hi-Tea Laid out, Dinner at Annapurna
Diner with Katha Saar in the Background and overnight…..

Day 6: Harsil– Guptakashi ( 263 Kms/ 9-10 Hrs )


After early breakfast, we will proceed to Guptakashi- Travel Route
Harsil/Manery/Uttarkashi/ one of the most beautiful forests at Chourangi Khal
temple of Nagnath ji/ Srinagar/Aagastmuni /Chandrawali temple,Stop at
Chourangi Khal for Baghnath Temple & Refreshments, packed Lunch Stop at
Aabki for guests , Stop off at Aagastmuni for Tea break, Arrive at Guptkashi
with traditional welcome & check in at The Chardham Camps Harsil followed by
Hi-Tea, Details discussion on Baba KedarNath by our KedarNath destination
experts following by Dinner and overnight at The Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.

Day 7: Guptakashi – Kedarnath – Guptakashi (12 Kms drive- 1 hr.)


After breakfast, we proceed to Phata (12 Kms/01 hrs). We proceed to take the helicopter
till Kedarnath we take you to visit Kedarnath Temple for Darshan, Aarti & pooja. After
the holy darshan way back to Guptakashi Camps Via Helicopter/Drive. Dinner and
overnight stay at The Chardham Camps, Guptakshi
Day 8: Guptakashi – Joshimath by Chopta (141 Kms / 5-6 Hrs)
• After breakfast, we proceed to Joshimath (141 Kms / 5-6 hrs)-Travel Route Temple at
Ukhimath / Wild life sanctuary at Chopta /Chamoli/Pipalkothi/Helang valley, one
of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through
medicinal forest. Tea break at Chopta- is also known as “Mini Switzerland“, and is
getting popular year after year. Chopta Hill Station is located at an altitude of 2700
mts, Chopta is surrounded by dense forest, and offers majestic view of Snow Clad
Himalayan Ranges and lush green meadows. It is also the starting point of the trek
to famous Tungnath Mandir (Panch Kedar Temple) and Chandrashila Summit . The
Chopta region is rich in varied flora and fauna, with plenty of Rhododendron and
Deodar trees all around. Departure from Chopta to Helang Valley, Arrive at
Joshimath with traditional welcome & check in at The Chardham Camps Joshimath

Day 09: Joshimath – Badrinath – Joshimath ( 45 Kms drive one way/ 2 Hrs)
• After breakfast, we proceed to Badrinath. On arrival take holy Darshan and spend
time visiting Mana Village- Mana is the last Indian village located near the Indo-
China border, in Uttarakhand. This tranquil village, surrounded by high Himalayan
hills, is situated at an altitude of 3219 m above sea level. It is located at a distance of 3
km from Badrinath, The surreal beauty of this tiny village draws a lot of visitors each
year, which is why Mana has been rightly titled as a 'Tourism Village' by the
Uttarakhand Government. Apart from being stunningly beautiful, it is also famous
for its handcrafted woolen shawls and blankets, local herbs, etc. It is believed that
the Pandavas had crossed the Mana village en route their journey to the heaven. The
Vedic River Saraswati also originates in the Himalayan Mountains that surround
this heavenly place. We return to Joshimath in the evening. Dinner Served at
Annapurna Dinner with Katha Saar. Overnight at The Chardham Camp, Joshimath.

Day 10: Joshimath – Rishikesh (254 Kms/ 7-8 hrs)


• After breakfast, we proceed to Rishikesh, Visit to Devprayag- Alaknanda River is on
the right and Bhagirathi Rievr is on the left. (Prayag means confluence, hence the
prayag in the name Devprayag). The two join together to flow forward as the Ganga.
Arrive at Rishikesh with traditional welcome & check in at Aloha On The Ganges
Rishikesh followed by Hi-Tea, Evening Visit for World famous Musical Ganga Aarti
at Parmarth Niketan Aashram, Dinner followed by Live flute session & overnight
stay at Hotel…..
Day 11: Rishikesh – Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast you will be transferred to New Delhi. (210 Kms / 5 hrs) We
hope you take back happy memories of Chardham Tour. Lunch at Cheetal Grand or
