Transmission pressure test procedure and test


sheet

This Service Bulletin is to be considered as technical information


only and is not subject to any reimbursement programs outside
normal warranty.

Cause
Information from the previous G700B test procedure was mistak‐
enly carried over to the G900 service manual and placed in the
transmission component location section.
Test sheets for the HTE transmission were not inserted at the time
of the G900 service manual release.
The inching pedal on the G900 disengages the inching clutches
(A, B and R) inside the transmission.
Pressure readings for the transmission inching clutches are not
possible while the grader is stationary in the service position.

Action
Two G900 transmission pressure test sheets have been created
to give technicians a manner to record pressures for trouble‐
shooting purposes.
At the end of this bulletin are 2 test sheets for the HTE840 and
HTE1160 transmissions. Please use these sheets when record‐
ing pressures and attach them to the techline calls when required.

Refer to Fig. 1 for HTE840 or Fig. 2 for HTE1160 which identify


the locations to install the hydraulic pressure gauges for testing.
Follow the procedure for preparing the grader for transmission
pressure testing (refer to service manual - check oil pressure - op
nbr 421-002).
Record the pressure reading on the test sheets.
