Campfire Barbecue Grill

1. Read ALL the directions before beginning. inch
2. Cut 4 pieces of 1” x 1” x 1/8” angle iron 18”
a. Use the bandsaw set at a 45° Angle

3. Mig weld the joints on both sides as shown and weld


your initials on
4. Grind flat the exposed welds down.
5. Put your name on this paper.
6. Cut (1) 18” by 18” square out of ¾ Expanded Metal with the plasma cutter initials
7. Trim to fit the frame and weld underneath the angle iron.
8. Cut 2 pieces 1 inch black pipe 6 inches long on the bandsaw.
9. Drill (1) 3/8” hole in the center of each 1 inch black pipe.

11. Obtain (1) 3/8 by 2 inch bolts and 2 3/8 nuts.
12. Tack weld the nut over the hole
13. Put the date and class period on this paper.
14. Thread the bolt in to ensure a proper fit. Then finish welding the nut on.
15. Cut 1 piece of 3/8” round stock 2 inches long and weld on the head of the bolt.
16. Weld one piece of black pipe to another at a 90 degree angle to create a “T”.
Be sure the nut is pointed outward.

17. Weld on black pipe assembly directly in the middle of the frame.
18. Cut 1 piece 3/8” rod 30” long. Bend and weld as shown below.
19. Cut (1) 3 foot piece of 1 inch hot roll on the chop saw
20. Bring this paper to Mr. Jensen for 10 pts.
21. Use the cutting torch to create a point on one end
a. Then sharpen cut end with the grinder

22. Assemble as shown.


23. Cover expanded metal with news paper and
paint with bbq paint. Make sure to not paint the
expanded
24. Show grill to Mr. Jensen for 100pts.
25. Upon first use cover expanded with light coat of
Vegetable oil repeat after ever use.
