Course Description
This course consists of lectures, demonstrations, laboratory exercises, and question and answer
sessions designed to educate the student in the Plant Resource Manager Maintenance
diagnostics, configuration and use in field device replacement.

Objectives
Upon completing the course, the learner will be able to exhibit the ability to:
o Manage plant resources using the PRM Utilities
o Manage documentation, inspection and calibration of the resources
o Replace devices using PRM and CS3000/Centum VP
Intended Audience
All Maintenance personnel or technicians responsible for overall plant maintenance.

Materials
Each learner will be provided with the appropriate course workbook.

Day 1
o PRM Overview, Login, Device Management, Device Panel,
o Inspection Schedule and Memo, Documentation
o Audit Trails in PRM
o Filtering Operations in Audit Trails

Day 2
o Plug & Play
o Calibration Management
o Device Viewer in PRM
o Foundation Fieldbus and/or HART device replacement in CS 3000/Centum VP using
customer’s procedures
o Trouble Shooting and Maintenance Tools
o Use of Device Panel for Checkup, Trouble Shooting and Field Device Replacement
