Cycle • Polymineralic – Mainly comprising two or
more than two minerals
Based on the way of formation all rocks can
be divided into Three main Rock Types.

 Igneous Rock - from molten matter ( magma)

 Sedimentary Rocks – from pre-existing rocks
 Metamorphic Rocks – from pre-existing rocks
