valves. Brochures and catalogs are available on request.
General Features
Crane 9000 series ball valves are used in a wide range of commercial and industrial flow control applications. These ball valves are
manufactured to rigid specifications for performance and reliability, and include the following standard features and benefits:
Blow-Out Proof Stem Adjustable Packing
The internally loaded stem has an integral thrust collar, which prevents Valve life is extended through the use of virgin PTFE packing with an
stem “blow-out” while in service for increased safety and reliability. adjustable packing gland.

Material Specifications & CV Factors
Material Specifications
The following represents nominal chemical and mechanical properties for materials used in Crane ball valves. Crane utilizes
a strict quality assurance program to insure conformance to appropriate specifications. For more detailed, comprehensive
descriptions of these and other materials used in Crane products, please refer to Crane’s Engineering Data brochure.
Cv Factors
Cv Factors represent flow capacity through Crane ball valves. It is defined as the flow of cold water (68°F) in Gallons per Minute
(GPM) which produces a pressure drop of 1 PSIG across the valve.
