The papers can be written either in Portuguese or in English (Other Countries).
However, the Technical Committee suggests that the papers shall be written in the
English language for more international visibility of the project. All authors must follow
the instructions given here. We recommend the use of the present file as a basis for the actual
work. Supplementary indications in blue and red should be erased. The final paper must have
at least five pages and should not exceed ten pages, including tables, figures and
appendixes. The first page must contain the title, authors, affiliation and abstracts. This model
presents headings that are not to be altered.

The pattern page format is A4, with left and top 3cm; and right and lower 2cm
margins. The distance between the top of the paper and the heading must be of 1,5 cm. The
text must be simple-spaced, written in one column, in Times New Roman font 12. Each
paragraph must start with a 12,5 mm. indenting.

left aligned. Arabic numerals followed by dots must be used to number sections. All words
must be capitalized except for prepositions. The heading of a section must be two lines below

Figures should be introduced as close as possible to the place where they are
mentioned in the text. They can be colored. However, we request the authors’ attention to
avoid excessively heavy files. The maximum size allowed is 2.000 kb (2MB).

Equations must be left aligned with a 12,5 mm indenting. Equations must be detached
from the rest of the text by skipping a line before and two lines after it. The font size must be
compatible with that of the text.
Equations must be numbered in Arabic numerals right aligned between brackets.
When cited along the text, the following pattern should be adopted: “... according to Equation
1...”. See an example of how to insert an equation below:

Direct quotations: Quotes from other texts which use the same words of the idea’s author.
 Must be enclosed in quotation marks, indicating the end of the original author's last name in upper case,
year of publication and page numbering in parentheses.
o Eg: "Quoting a sentence from another text" (SOUSA, 2018, p. 51),

 Direct quotations that exceed 3 lines should be indented 4 cm right, without the use of quotation marks,
with font 10 and spacing 1.0.

Indirect quotations: quotes from the idea of another author, but modifying the original
words.
 Must indicate in the text the author's name followed by the year of work’s publication
in parentheses.
o E.g.
o the approach proposed by Ouyang and Aziz (1996) involves ...
o E.g. Murphy et al. (1994) presented ... MAh (1990) reviewed.
o Several references on gas flow in ducts (Moore et al., 1980; Ouyang and Aziz,
1996; Osidacz and Chaczykowski, 2001) indicate…
o According to Sousa (2018) ....
References along the text can be quoted as in the examples below: “The approach
proposed by Ouyang and Aziz (1996) involves...”, “Murphy et al. (1994) present...”, “Mah
(1990) revised...” or “Various references to tubeless (Moore et al., 1980; Ouyang and Aziz,
1996; Osidacz and Chaczykowski, 2001) indicate...”. In the case of three or more authors, the
last name of the first one should be followed by the expression “et al.”. More than one work
published in the same year by the same author(s) should be indicated as “Duran e Grossman
(1986a,b) proposed...”. The list of references contained in the text should be presented in the

final section of the paper, under the heading “References”, in alphabetical order according to
the last name of the first author. See some examples of references at the end of this text.
