Professional Goal Why the goal is important
to me
Goal: Become more As a new fourth-grade
knowledgeable of the teacher starting in August, it

to know the standards so that
I am able to teach the
standards to my students.
Knowing the standards will

I plan on researching and
studying the CCSS for
Nevada. Continuing with my
belief/goal that literacy is
important for student success
in all subject areas, I plan on
also creating one lesson plan
for each area, math, ELA,
science, and social studies,
using the newly learned
standards. I would also like
to include student friendly
objectives for each standard.
This is important for my
understanding as I learn the
objectives, as well as for my
students. Giving my students
the objective can help them
assessment themselves on if
they understand the material
to the standards, and they can
know what is expected of
them.
