1 Introduction

This chapter presents an overview of Online Bid Submission Process developed under
Procurement Module in Ahmadabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) as part of the e-Governance
applications.

1.1 About this User Manual and Users

This guide contains all information needed to familiarize the user with the features and
functionality of the Online Bid Submission process. To give you a feel of the application’s Graphical
User Interface (GUI), it includes screenshots where ever relevant. The intended users of this guide
are those bidders/ vendors who are involved in tendering process.

2 Online Bid Submission Process

This chapter tells you how to start and use the AMC web portal to view online tenders/
quotations and submit bids/ quotes for them.

2.1 View Online Tender/ Quotation and Logging In

Visit the AMC portal which is https://ahmedabadcity.gov.in as shown below. Online Tenders and
Quotations can be viewed in the section named as “Online Tenders”. Bids/ Quotes can be
submitted after logging in the portal using the “Login” link as shown below.

If the user/ vendor/ party doesn’t have party code and wants to submit bid/ quote on AMC web
portal, then there are two ways to create vendor/party account-

1 Offline: Download the form from the Vendor registration page available at
ahmedabadcity.gov.in, take a print, fill it, and submit it to AMC with all the supporting
documents and charges. Party code would be generated after the department's approval.

2 Online: Fill and submit the Vendor Registration form on web portal (shown above), user would
have to scan and upload supporting documents when submitting online. On successful
submission, temporary party code would be generated. Bid Submission can be done using this
code. Permanent party code would be generated after the department's approval.

Note: After submitting the form online, the user has to submit the hard copies of documents to
AMC for approval and permanent Party Code generation.

After account creation (party code), the user can log into the web portal and submit bid/ quote
for tender/ quotation.

Users are requested to logout from the AMC web portal once they have finished submitting their
bids or quotes.
