Para resumir, una comparación entre diferentes altos línea de transmisión de voltaje
basada en métodos de recolección de energía se muestra en la Tabla I.
Considerando tamaño, complejidad, poder, disponibilidad de fuente de energía,
campo eléctrico basado la recolección de energía es el método más viable para la
transmisión AC. Sin embargo, la investigación sobre este tema todavía está en su
infancia. La mayoría de los documentos técnicos sobre este tema están en prueba
de concepto. Mucho más trabajo de investigación todavía es necesario. Hasta
ahora, no se ha trabajado en la energía cosecha para el control de líneas de alta
tensión DC.
