Microlink, INTRACOM’s series of compact digital Microwave

Radio Relay Systems, designed to serve long haul links for

rural-suburban applications. It provides a highly reliable, cost
effective and rapid to build solution, for voice, data and video MICROLINK

transmission in capacities from 1E1 up to 16E1, in 1.4GHz &

3.5GHz bands.

Relay System
The Microlink IDR-350 model comprehends the IDR-350 &
IDR350M versions in 3.5GHz Band. They are both, a split
version Indoor/Outdoor module of a digital Radio relay system.
The IDR-350 is capable of transmitting a 2 Mbps data stream,
easy to install. The IDR-350M incorporates 16QAM modulation,
with capacities up to 16E1 and it provides a transmission
solution to highly condensed networks with high spectrum
efficiency. Digital Radio

Spectrum Efficiency Enhancement

Microlink family becomes even more versatile, with the introduction of IDR-140M
and IDR-350M enhancing the new robust digital 16QAM modulation scheme, thus
optimising the spectrum for the 2 E1s up to 16 E1s transport.
A light weight system , easy to set up , with or without the use of a pc or laptop.

Features of IDR 350

z State of the art compact design in both units ,ODU & IDU
z High system gain
IDR-350 z Very easily configured by its dispaly, no pc required
z Split configuration resulting to the use of low cost IF cable for the IDU-ODU
interconnection
z Universal AC power supply enhanced (IDR-100, IDR-350 versions)
z SNMP capabilities
z Slim and Lightweight package
z Continuous Field Strength monitoring
z User programmable Operating Frequency and Output Transmitted Power

The IDR-350M is available in 1+0 topology as well as in 1+1 topology. The advan-
tage of the latter over the former is the redundancy in case of a communication
failure. 1+1 topology is strongly recommended for rough terrains (i.e. mountains
IDR-350M or sea existence between stations), long haul links and also wherever increased
reliability and/or system redundancy is of vital importance.

Features of IDR 350M

z State of the art compact design
z High system gain
z Up to 16E1 + 1E1 service channel+ 4 asynchronous data channels + 2x 4w
channels
z User programmable Operating Frequency and Output Transmitted Power
z Split configuration resulting to the use of low cost IF cable for the IDU-ODU
interconnection
z Full SNMP capabilities
z Available in 1+1 protected topology (HSB, Space Diversity, Frequency Diversity)
z Fully controlled and supervised through a Network Management System (NMS)
z Easily configurable through a friendly User I/O Interface or through the RS-232
port located at the front panel
z Block Forward Error Correction (FEC)
z Easy system supervision and maintenance
z Ethernet
Constant Monitoring
Network Management System
Management operations, including local/remote station moni-
toring and link evaluation according to ITU-T Rec. G.826, are
accomplished via a local or centralized terminal through SNMP
interfaces. Up to 256 MICROLINK Systems can be continuously
monitored from one single connection point with TMN.
MICROLINK series is also fully compatible to the PRMS
(INTRACOM's Point-to-Point Radio Management System) capable
of providing operators with a centralized, coherent view of MICROLINK

network resources. The Intralink Network Management Center

(INMC) is composed of a single server and a set of user worksta-

Relay System
tions. The server is responsible for the collection and processing
of the network state information.
