Enhance your employability with EEA
EEA’s Professional Year in Engineering prepares migrant engineers for the Australian workplace. It is the only work­
readiness program for engineers legislated by the Australian government.

Across 44 weeks, you’ll spend 32 weeks using online resources and attending workshops, and 12 weeks on a work
placement within a host organisation.

 Choose from flexible study options including one full day or two nights a week
 Enjoy the benefit of mentoring while you undertake your work placement
 Build a local network of peers and professionals

When you successfully complete EEA’s Professional Year in Engineering you’ll:

 Be eligible to apply for 5 migration points
 Gain insight into Australian workplace conditions and the employment market

 Compile a professional Australian resume

 Understand Australian Occupational Health and Safety requirements

 Become a professional member of Engineers Australia.

The EEA Professional Year in Engineering is open to holders of various visa types. Before applying, contact a migration
agent or the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (http://www.immi.gov.au/Pages/Welcome.aspx).
This program is full fee­paying. CRICOS, HECS and fee­help do not apply.
