LESSON PLAN ON PERSONAL DEVEOPMENT WEEK 3 A

Objectives:
After discussing the subject matter, the students are expected to be able to:
1. Discuss the relationship among physiological, cognitive, psychological, spiritual, and social development
to understand his/her thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
2. Evaluate his/her own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
3. Show the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in actual life situations.
II. Subject Matter:
A. Topic: Developing the Whole Person
B. Sub-topic: The Power Triad: Thoughts, Feelings and Actions and applying it to Daily Life Situations

III. Procedures:
A. Preparation
1. Daily Routine (Prayer, Greetings, Checking of Attendance)
2. Review
Say/Ask: Last meeting, we learned about the Aspects of the Self. What are the three basic but very
different aspects of the self?
3. Motivation
Ask the following questions to the learners.
a. Have you been upset- maybe something happened in the past or so when you felt particularly anxious,
angry, or depressed?
b. How were you able to cope with that situations?
IV. Activity:
Speak Up. The teacher will present the famous quotation before the class. Allow the learners to contemplate
on the quotation. The teacher may ask the learners to express their opinions, insights about the given
quotation.

V. Analysis
Ask: 1. Do you agree or disagree with this quotation? Why or why not?
2. Do you think the quotation speaks of the truth among the stages of life?

VI. Abstraction
Group Reading: Stories of Success of Manny Pacquiao, Pia Wurtzbach and Dr. Rose Zeta Capeding. Each
Group will be given five minutes to present their readings with their classmates.
Processing Question:
1. Can you identify with any of the characters mentioned?
2. What lessons can you learn from the character you have chosen
3. How would you like your life story to be told>
VII. Application:
Make a personal recipe for achieving personal goals. Break it down into a recipe.
Teacher will show samples of “Recipe for Success.”
VIII. Evaluation:
Situation are given in the following activity. Learners will try to come up with an alternative thought on the
same.
Situation 1: A friend of yours invited you for a date. Unfortunately, he/she is late for more than one hour.

Situation 2: You saw your parents arguing and yelling at each other. Then you heard your mother crying.
