IBU FATMAWATI SOEKARNO

President of Biography Fatmawati Soekarno Who does not know Fatmawati

Soekarno, she is First Lady of First President of Indonesia that is President
Soekarno and also known as tailor flag of herire flown at the time of proclamation
of independence of Republic Indonesia on 17 August 1945. Fatmawati Soekarno
born on Monday , 5 February 1923 At 12.00 noon in Bengkulu City, as the only
daughter of the family of H. Hassan Din and Siti Chadidjah. Fatmawati's childhood
was full of challenges and difficulties, due to the colonial system run by the Dutch
East Indies Government. His father, Hassan Din was originally a Dutch company
employee, Bersomij in Bengkulu. But because he did not want to leave his
activities as a member of Muhammadiyah, he then left the company. After that,
Hassan Din often change business and move to a number of cities in the region of
Southern Sumatra.

Not many people know that Fatmawati is actually a descendant of the Indrapura
Mukomuko Kingdom. The father of Hassan Din is the 6th descendant of the
Kingdom of Princess Melur Flower. Flower Princess Melur when interpreted is a
beautiful daughter, simple, wise. No wonder if Fatmawati has wisdom and
nurturing. The love affair between Bung Karno and Fatmawti initially required a
very tough struggle. In order to obtain Fatmawati so loved by Bung Karno with a
very heavy feeling forced to give up the departure of Mrs. Inggit, the figure of a
woman who is so strong and sincere accompanying Bung Karno in the struggle to
reach Indonesia Merdeka. Bitter bitter as an outcast (Dutch prisoner) often passed
by Bung Karno with Bu Inggit. But history says something else. Another time
journey, the presence of Fatmawati between Bung Karno and Bu Inggit has
changed everything.

In 1943 Bung Karno married Fatmawati, and since Fatmawati was still in
Bengkulu, while Bung Karno was busy with his activities in Jakarta as the leader
of the People's Power Center (Putera), the marriage was carried out with the
representative of one of Bung Karno's relatives, Opseter Sardjono. On June 1,
1943, Fatmawati with his parents left for Jakarta, through the road, since then
Fatmawati accompanied Bung Karno in the struggle to achieve Indonesian
independence. Traveling a pair of loving doves, finally blessed with five sons and
daughters: Guntur, Mega, Rachma, Sukma, and Guruh. Not even they waded
through the ark of the household, Sukarno could not hold back his love flirtation to
another woman named Hartini. This is one of the reasons for the dramatic breakup
between Sukarno and Fatmawati.

On Friday in Ramadan, at 5:00 am, the dawn of August 17, 1945 radiated on the
eastern horizon, the morning dew still hung on the edge of the leaves, the leaders
of the nation and the youth leaders emerge from the house of Admiral Maeda, with
pride after formulating the text of the Proclamation until dawn . They, had agreed
to proclaim the independence of the Indonesian nation that day at Soekarno's
house, Jalan Pegangsaan Timur No. 56 Jakarta, at 10:00 am. Exactly at 10.00, with
a steady and clear voice, Sukarno read the text of the proclamation, shouting
Merdeka was reverberating everywhere and finally able to preach the Indonesian
Independence to the whole world.

If anyone asks, what is the role of women ahead of the moment of proclamation of
independence? Of course we will remember the figure of Fatmawati, Bung Karno's
wife. He is the one who sews the banner of Sang Saka Merah Putih. Afterwards,
there was a Trimurti girl who brought a tray and handed heritage flag to Latief
Hendraningrat and Soehoed to be flown. And, all the audience sang Indonesia
Raya song on Jalan Pegangsaan Timur 56 Jakarta. On that day, Mother Fatmawati
ceremony and become perpetrator of history of Indonesia Independence.
One of the decisions of the Committee for the Preparation of Indonesian
Independence (PPKI) in its session on 19 August 1945 was to elect Bung Karno
and Moh. Hatta as the First President and Vice President of the Republic of
Indonesia. On 4 January 1946 the center of the Indonesian government was moved
to Yogyakarta because of the increasingly insecure situation of Jakarta, following
the presence of NICA troops riding the arrival of allied forces.

Mother Fatmawai and Bung Karno never celebrate the marriage anniversary,
Never marry silver or golden wedding, 1st, 2nd or 3rd anniversary just never. The
reason is none other because they never remember when married. This is
understandable because during the marriage, the era was wrapped in war. At that
time World War II was raging and new Japan came to colonize Indonesia.

"We never celebrate a silver wedding or a golden marriage because we think it's a
trivial matter, whereas we are always faced with big and terrible big problems,"
says Fatmawati's mother in the book.

Arguments:

My argument, about the fatmawati mother is in Fatmawati's childhood full of

challenges and difficulties, because the colonial system run by the Government of
the Belanda East Indies.

Reccomendation:

My recccomendttion is that teenagers should always appreciate the struggle of the

heroine because our female hero is the fatmawati mother is very struggling and live
in the comings due to colonizers from other nations.
