Gora is based on a novel by Nobel laureate Rabindranath

Tagore.Gora is a complex epic novel written at the turn of the
20th century. It is a love story laced with complex subplots. The
characters engage in intricate debates, reflections and

fermenting in India in the late 1800s and early 1900s: the
exclusion of women from the main ranks of society and culture;

Tagore’s Songs in Hindi
Gitanjali is a tribute to Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

Tagore’s songs, known as Rabindro Sangeeta in Bengali, have
been translated in Hindi and sung by famous artistes as tribute to
the poet. These songs were originally written and composed by
Tagore. They are very popular in eastern India and are sung by
people every day. The compositions are mostly based on
Hindustani classical music and Bengali folk music. Each
episodecovers three to four songs rendered by different famous
artists like Anup Jalota, Anuradha Paudwal, Kavtha
Krishnamurthi.

Pita
“PITA” is a film based on the famous play “The Father”(1887) penned

by renowned Swedish writer August Straindberg , also considered as
father of Swedish literature. Hindi adaptation of this film is done by
Mahesh Elkunchwar, and equally established name identified with
parallel cinema in India. The film is directed by Govind Nihalani, a
doyen of parallel cinema in India.
The story of 'PITA' revolves around Captain Adolph, an officer of
Cavalry his wife Laura and daughter Bertha. The issue is the right of a
father on kids as per prevailing law. A determined mother Laura finds
her way to oppose injustice.

Khamoshi
Khamoshi is a satire on modern man's materialistic ambition. The

story is woven round a middleclass family. It takes a dramatic turn
when an advocate approaches the family with an offer of ten lakhs
of rupees bequeathed in favour of the 'Bahu', the daughter-in-law,
by his young client, who is no more. Everybody is taken aback by
the revelation of the dead man's love for her. Whether or not to
accept it is tearing apart everyone in the family. The story reaches
its climax when the offer is eventually accepted by the family. By
then the daughter-in-law is no more.

Teerth Yatra is a man's journey into his own life. Jagat Murari is a
senior executive. He has reached his position the hard way.

proved to be more than a match to him. This shocks him. With this
shock follow a series of incidents which provoke him to proceed on a

A romantic comedy treated as a musical. It is the story of a small town

who boasts of solving any problem – he even claims he can create rain.
He raises the morale of the people and helps them fulfil their dreams
and hopes. Happily, the town is blessed by rains.

Award in the national film festival of india (1981), Sadgati is based on a

story written by munshi premchand, one of the greatest Indian
novelists.
Dukhi, an Untouchable, asks Ghasiram, a Brahmin, a favour could the
Brahmin fix an auspicious date for his daughter's marriage?
The Brahmin agrees and in return makes Dukhi slave over household
chores and himself retires for a siesta. While chopping wood Dukhi,
weak after an attack of fever, dies. The corpse lies close to the road
used by Brahmins to go to the village well. The untouchables shun it for
fear of police investigation. Ghasiram ties a noose around its ankle,
slides it out of the city limits and sprinkles holy water on the spot to
cleanse it of the untouchable touch.

Chandrahas a young film maker, full of artificialities connected with
the trade wants to have a good time with Meenakshi. Chandrahas
and Meenakshi are fond of each other and their friendship borders
around romance. Chandrahas invites Meenakshi to spend a day with
him in five star hotel where he is staying. Reluctantly Meenakshi
agrees to meet him but the romance slowly gets sour as Meenakshi
starts seeing through the falsehood of Chandrahas's character. In a
peculiar circumstance, Chandrahas forces Meenakshi to pose as
Journalist which actually turns out to be a real interview.
Meenakshi exposes Chandrahas and walks out.
