Quick Manual of Stress Echo (Version 1.0)

Overview:
Stress echo is a function to make a ultrasonic contrast between stress state and resting state of the patient
heart, which in order to understand the cardiovascular system responds to the stress condition. Stress Echo
has become routinely used in the diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with any suspected or
known heart diseases. It is one of the most widely used diagnostic tests in cardiology. Usually, it is divided
into three parts of exercises, pacemaking and pharmacy, and the wider clinical application is exercise and
pharmacy. The phase array 2P1, 2P2 and 3P1 of SonoScape can support Stress Echo function. The
following part is about its operating steps in the ultrasound system with touch screen.

Step One: Preparation Before Scanning

Prepare drugs or devices, connect the ECG cable.

Step Two: Get into Stress Echo function Exercise 2×4

Select【Cardiology/Difficult】exam mode of the

Phase array probe, and tap【Stress Echo】on the
touch screen, then enter Stress Echo function.

Exercise 3×4

Step Three: Three kinds of protocol

Pharmacy 4×4
Select the suitable protocol for the patients.
Press【Enter】or【Set】key to begin image acquisition.

Step Four: Image acquisition Press【Store Cycles】on the touch screen to store all
the preferred cycles for the currently selected view.
The system will automatically acquire images
based on the R-Trigger. The screen will display the Press 【 Freeze 】 to return to the image
current VIEW which the system expects user to acquisition for next VIEW, and repeat the
acquire. sequence. Continue until cycle data for all
VIEWS have been acquired and stored.

Press【End Stage】to enter next stage for

scanning.

All cycles which were not stored will

discarded when press 【 End Stage 】 or
【Freeze】.

Press【Disp Stored】to display the stored

cycles data of the current VIEW.

Press【Freeze】to stop acquisition. The acquired Step Five: Data Comparison

Compare Stage Scoring System:
This mode will display the preferred cycles from each 0= Unable to Score
