A BRIEF HISTORICAL REVIEW

By Law No. 16225, of September 2, 1966, the National Technical University of Callao
(UNATEC) was created, being the President of the Republic the Architect Fernando
Belaúnde Terry and Minister of Education Dr. Carlos Cueto Fernandini.

At that time there were only six careers: in engineering there were four, fishing, chemical,
mechanical and electrical. In addition to economics and accounting.

Once the University managed to consolidate administratively and academically, the long-
awaited change came: from the National Technical University of Callao to the National
University of Callao, when Law No. 23733 was promulgated, which entered into effect on
December 18, 1983.

It currently has eleven Faculties, sixteen Professional Schools and a Graduate School

CENTER PRE-UNIVERSITY CENTER OF THE UNAC

Well, now we’re going to the pre-university center of the National University of Callao
it takes four examinations and four practices that are promeded, but the one that have the
highest score is the last
The ease of being in this academy is that you have two entry options, that is, you have two
career options to mark in the exam and if your score is not enough for your first option and
for the second one, you can enter that career. (I ENTERED THIS WAY)
Also the university has a language center where English and Portuguese are taught, they are
located here, in the last classrooms if I'm not mistaken.

CENTRAL ADMISSIÓN OFFICE

Here is the central admission office, here you come to do the paperwork once you enter,
they take a picture for your card, they give your certificate, they guide you, and other
things.

There are other offices such as the Directorate of Evaluation, Technology Transfer and
Patents, training office, human resources, technology development and innovation, among
others

It has an auditorium where the trainings take place.

(Most times they are held on Saturdays)

OBU

This is the university welfare office, better known as OBU. It has a dining room, where
students come for breakfast, lunch or dinner. As long as you have applied for the food grant
and they have approved it for you. It also has specialized doctors, where the student can
come and perform your consultation.

Here you come also after you have entered as they take a psychology test and several
medical exams.

As you know, universities have sports championships where you can register freely, so this
is where you can do those procedures. Each faculty has its sports team, be it basketball,
football, volleyball, among others.
