Democratic  Committee  Chairs  Ask  for  Election  Day  Unity

Below  is  a  statement  unanimously  signed  by  the  County  Democratic  Committee  Chairs  in  the  NY-‐21
Congressional  District:

“The  election  to  be  held  in  November  is  the  single  most  important  election  since  the  Nixon  era,  as  it  will
provide  a  cataclysmic  rebuke  of  everything  inhumane  that  is  being  fostered  by  the  Trump  agenda.    On
November  6,  nothing  is  more  important  to  our  Democracy  than  flipping  control  of  the  United  States
House  of  Representatives.    Our  district,  NY-‐21,  can  play  a  role  in  that.    Or  it  can  sit  on  the  sidelines  and
think  about  what  could  have  been.

To  that  end,  the  twelve  Chairs  of  the  County  Democratic  Committees  in  this  district  implore  our
Democratic  voters  to  weigh  the  impact  of  your  vote  when  you  cast  your  ballot  next  week  on  June
26.    The  candidate  that  you  may  most  closely  agree  with  might  not  have  the  potential  to  be  a  contender
in  November.

As  a  matter  of  doing  the  most  possible  good  with  your  vote,  please  prioritize  the  candidate  who  you
believe  can  actually  unseat  Stefanik  in  November.    At  the  end  of  the  day,  each  of  the  five  remaining
candidates  agree  on  95%  of  the  national  and  district  issues  at  hand.

This  is  a  moderate  to  conservative  district.    In  order  to  send  this  “Rubber  Stamp  for  Trump”  back  to  her
DC  Penthouse  on  K  Street,  we  need  to  be  unified  behind  a  candidate  that  can  actually  beat  her.    Respect
your  conscience.  Mind  your  heart.    But,  please,  Vote  Your  Mind.  In  the  end,  nothing  changes  if  we  don’t
re-‐take  the  seat.    The  transfer  of  leadership  in  the  House  of  Representatives  depends,  in  large,  on  how
we  vote  next  week.”

Sarah  Rowden,  Clinton  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Bethany  Kosmider,  Essex  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Joe  Riccio,  Franklin  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Ed  Jasewczitz,  Fulton  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Lou  Burke,  Hamilton  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Arlene  Feldmeyer,  Herkimer  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Tim  White,  Jefferson  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Linda  Sandri,  Lewis  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Todd  Kerner,  Saratoga  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Mark  Bellardini,  St.  Lawrence  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
Lynn  Boecher,  Warren  County  Democratic  Committee  Chair
